Well, Canada is somewhat different than the states. There aren't places everywhere to buy beer for take home. Overall, they have a good selection of liquor and beer. I tried several beers i have never had. All were good. I dont like hoppy beers.

Rude employees who, according to my observation, prefer serving caucasian customers. First Nations people and other customers of colour who were unmistakably double the required age to purchase alcoholic beverages legally are being asked to present an ID. The person next to me who accompanied his friend [both in the late 30th] was rudely asked to leave the store since he had no ID, despite not purchasing anything. The tone the employee used was very demanding and rude. I will not return to this store. BC Liquor Distribution Branch should dispatch some undercover shoppers to this store, and their HR department should handle the cases.

This is an awesome liquor store and I am thoroughly impressed by the selection of imported alcohol.
It has all the standard essentials + tons of European beer singles which was amazing to see. I legit picked up a Polish, Czech, German, and Slovakian beer single for less than $3 CAD each
Also saw some really cool stuff native to Canada….like 2L plastic bottle of ciders??? Maybe my American is showing but I’ve never seen anything like this before. Very interesting! Prices were good too.
Didn’t have any problem with customer service/checkout.

Your staff reached into my wallet and tried grabbing out the secondary id he “saw” with his ripped dirty gloves I stead of waiting for me to grab the OTHER card that was in my hand. I didn’t want the guy grabbing my Costco card out of my wallet it was super inappropriate. This isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with this store, the last time was the same guy a year ago claiming my id was “fake”. There are queer people that exist within this community and being treated like this has more than soured my impression of this location. Never had an issue on Davie and Bute.

Best liquor store in the neighborhood. The asian mademoiselle always offers a great service and stand to help out with your inquires and the cashiers are always amiable, I love to buy here

Please instruct your staff not to inquire about customers’ nationality. Checking my ID is acceptable, but their nationality is irrelevant and not your business! Additionally, the staff member checked my ID but did not check the IDs of the customers before and after me. This incident occurred on Friday, June 7th, at 4:09 PM

I had a very unpleasant experience at your branch on 28 March around 7:35 pm. One of the cashiers, who had white hair and a beard, was incredibly impolite, aggressive, and unfriendly. Additionally, his behavior seemed racially discriminatory as he asked about my nationality in a rude manner without any provocation. I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning to this branch.

Just got profiled by an Indian student working as a security guard. This female security guard stared at me as I walked in, so I stared back at her in her mininum wage uniform. She then proceeded to follow me into the aisle I went into looking for wine, ignoring all the other customers. Then followed me as I walked to the cash register. This BCL is not POC friendly due to the Indian students profiling POC.
