After a bit of rubber arm twisting, we head in.
What they still haven’t caught on to is we are stopping for me to get a chocolate Elixir, and an iron on patch!
You can always count on great service with a smile. They are fast too. Keep in mind that if there is a line, it moves fast. Well worth the wait!

Big Daddy's Fish Fry

Halibut was fresh, meaty, and perfectly cooked. Batter was crispy all the way through and lightly salted when it came out of the fryer. Immaculate!
Seafood chowder was amazing. Nice and thick, full of potatoes, salmon, white fish, mussles, shrimp etc. Garnished with lots of dill and flavored oil. Unexpectedly, it came with a fresh fried bannock like bread which was also amazing.
You must come here!

Savary Island Pie Company
230 Main St, TofinoSo, so, so cozy and delish! We had chicken pot pie, raspberry rhubarb pie, blackberry rhubarb pie, strawberry rhubarb pie, the lemon & cranberry shortbread, the stinger, toast butter and jam, and a latte. It was so, so, so good and we loved the quaint space to sit. The pie crust was true flaky goodness and the fillings so jam packed - yum!

BASIC GOODNESS PIZZERIA
551 Campbell St, TofinoThe traditional wood-fired pizza oven is what initially caught my attention, so we drove over with high hopes and ordered two pizzas — a pepperoni and a margherita. We were greeted warmly, and the order was prepared quickly, fresh, and delivered without much wait. Unfortunately, the pizza itself didn’t quite live up to expectations. The crust was bit soggy, and the pepperoni pizza was a bit burnt, which really affected the overall flavour. With better crust execution and more balanced baking, it could have been a great pizza. Perhaps it’s better when dining in — we may give it another try next time.
