I applied for a job at Walmart, received an interview invitation, and traveled all the way from Vancouver to Surrey, which took me two hours. When I arrived, I was shocked to be told that all positions were already filled and that I probably wouldn’t be hired. To make matters worse, they handed me a piece of paper to write down my availability, which felt completely unprofessional and disorganized. I was not even given the opportunity for the interview I was originally scheduled for. This entire experience was a waste of my time, and I felt disrespected by their lack of professionalism and transparency. If there are no open positions, why schedule interviews at all? I am extremely disappointed and will not be applying to Walmart again.

We bought some things that were pending at home, the place is big, assorted but is very dirty and left behind, the parking lot is the same of central city.

I don't know what happened to this walmart. I've lived here for 6 years and its been the worse state its ever been. I think this walmart should be reported. Last night I saw many pallets of frozen food and milk left out in the open. Trash and garbage everywhere. Rotten produce. Its such a shame.

Go to Guildford Walmart for a really great experience.

The staff is so rude. I was looking for something and I asked to an employee she replied so rudely and didn't help me. Please teach your staff about customer service. I will never visit this walmart and also prefer my friends not to go there. I felt so disappointed. The worker working in grocery section she doesn't know how to talk she treated me disrespectfully.

I purchased four packages of Pokémon cards from Attiya at the electronics department this afternoon and forgot to take them with me when I left the store. When I returned to the store this evening I found that Attiya had locked the cards in an anti-theft device in a locked drawer. Attiya is a friendly, kind and thoughtful person. You are fortunate to have her as an employee.
I received exemplary customer service from Attiya today.

The associates over here have zero etiquettes as to how to talk to customers. They keep showing unnecessary attitude towards the customers. It's a bad experience each time I visit here..

Possibly the worst run WalMart in North America. It would be impossible to list all the issues plaguing this location but I will highlight the most consistent and glaring. I will preface this also by saying that I have had some good experiences, but the vast majority have been bad, which have culminated in me finally leaving a review. I try to avoid this place as much as possible, but since a number of other similar amenities that used to exist in the neighbourhood are no longer here, I find myself patronizing this Walmart more than I’d like-
There are never baskets near the entrance. Consistently dirty, and unorganized. Items are regularly out of stock or have items mislabeled (price or description). The customer service is bordering offensive. They rarely acknowledge your existence when checking out and when they do, it’s non verbal or many times, broken English with thick accents which is challenging to decipher. Trying to engage and inquire about anything beyond a “hello” is tediously challenging. The most egregious of all is the obscenely aggressive attempts to get me to sign up for a Walmart credit card. The same woman has approached me so many times, I’ve lost count, and she is completely oblivious to this fact and continues to raise this issue with me despite the multiple number of refusals. These solicitations while you’re in an isle is inappropriate enough, but it reaches a crescendo in absurdity when they will hold up entire lines of 6-8 people waiting to check out their items, to sign someone up for the CC while completing their purchase at the register. Adding 4-5 minutes for a single transaction. Unlike anything I’ve seen anywhere, ever.
I can’t express more sincerely how poorly this place operates. Top to bottom, just horrible.
I want to enjoy my experience shopping there, as it’s a convenient location for me, and it would be a shame if it wasn’t an option to grab certain staple items, however that convenience comes at a cost. The trade offs for convenience are grating and in spite of endless reviews critiquing, and in some cases identical issues I’ve expressed, going back months, there seems to be no will or capacity to address it. It’s a shame.
