BEWARE !!!
Do not use this company!! They had to come back two - three times for repairs and screw ups that they did in the coach house I had built. Marisa is who I dealt with & WOW TERRIBLE customer service. Numerous calls and text with no response back about things that needed to be repaired or things I need to be picked up. Save yourself money & time I would suggest going anywhere but here because youll just get the same service & treatment that I did unfortunately.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. AS STATED IN A PREVIOUS REVIEW BELOW, THE PAINT ON MY KITCHEN CUPBOARDS ARE PEELING BACK AFTER ONLY 3 YEARS. I'VE CONTACTED THEM AND THEY SAY THEY WILL ONLY PAY FOR HALF OF THE FIX. THIS WAS MY DREAM KITCHEN THAT I SAVED FOR 30 YEARS!!!!..... PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM ... We used Sunwood for our kitchen renovation. From the moment Marisa came into our home she was extremely professional and helpful through the entire process. Claude - the installer - was the same and so easy to work with. They both knew their stuff and made what could have been a stressful situation effortless and enjoyable. We renovated our entire home recently. Out of all the trades Sunwood kitchens was by far the best of all of the them. Pavlina was incredible to work with, her kitchen design was exactly what we hoped for and her attention to detail is impeccable. Pavlina genuinely cares about her work and her clients and has excellent communication. The quality of the product is good and was most importantly ON TIME! Claude did our installation. Full disclosure; Gerard Hall is my wife’s uncle and Marisa Patterson is her cousin. We had discussed kitchen renovations with Sunwood Kitchens & Gerard a number of times over several years. Finally, Summer 2021 we made the decision to go ahead. We began with only replacing our cupboard doors but once we started it morphed into a totally new kitchen. While we kept the same footprint, Sunwood created (with our input of course) new updated and speciality cupboards. The island was updated and cabinets now hugged the ceiling. Marisa recommended a handyman: Rob Vogt of Creative Handyman Services to help with the necessary removals & repairs, which were considerable. Rob was efficient, pleasant and affordable.My wife had a plan in her head and with a bit of guidance from Gerard & Marisa, that plan came to life. We were so impressed with the installation team who were charged with assembling a jigsaw puzzle to build our kitchen, everything was done with such precision. Li who did the final finish work is a craftsman without equal!Patra Stone completed the look with a countertop, backsplash and waterfall edge in a beautiful quartz.Sunwood finished their portion of the build exactly on schedule as promised. In the end the renovation took longer and cost more than we had anticipated (Not Sunwood’s fault) but the result was exactly as envisioned. We are both so pleased with our new kitchen.Service: Remodeling

20 Year Photo Challenge!
20 years ago, in 1999, I had the privilege of working with Gerard Hall, owner of Sunwood Kitchen and Bath Design. He created a beautiful kitchen for our new home featuring honey maple cabinets, metal wire detailing on the uppers, copper hood fan, and copper metal knobs to match our black granite counter top with copper flecking. Gerard listened to our vision and then designed, manufactured and installed the cabinetry in our kitchen, family room, laundry room, and bathrooms. The entire process and product were beyond our expectations.
The photos attached show our same kitchen, now 20 years later, in May 2019! The only area that needed attention was the space for our built-in fridge. When our 20-year fridge needed to be replaced last month, we realized new full-size refrigerators are now at least 70 inches high. Our space was 1 inch too small! I called Sunwood and spoke with designer Marisa Paterson. Going back to Sunwood was like visiting family we had not seen for years! Gerard and Marisa worked a plan to economically cut down the size of the existing cabinet above our fridge, cut down the size of the existing doors, and create a removable valence in matching butternut stain to accommodate our new refrigerator. The whole process took only a few days, and our renovated fridge space was ready to go! Our new fridge is now installed, and we are thrilled with the result.
Marisa was so easy to work with, kind, and reliable, we have now hired Sunwood again to do a new kitchen in the commercial office space we are building. In professional Sunwood fashion, within a few days, Marisa created a kitchen design to fit our building plans and met with us to choose cabinets and counter tops.
Thank you, Gerard, Marisa and Sunwood for adding sustainable and functional beauty to our home and workspace!

We purchased $30,000 of cabinets from this company 7 years ago, in the last 2 years we have noticed the stain wearing off. We contacted them regarding the cabinets and got nothing but a run around, no return calls or emails. I would highly recommend you do not purchase anything from this company.

i asked for a visit to look at a cabinet repair......i live 1/2 mile from their place....i sent a photo of existing cabinet.....i phoned....they ignored the email to visit...and sent a email quote for the repair without seeing it in person ? who would want to deal with these guys...would you?

Spent over $50,000 dollars on a new kitchen 8 years ago. 4 years ago the paint started yellowing. I asked the owner to contact me many many times to come look at his work, and he failed to return my calls.
He wasn't the least empathetic, and failed to stand behind his product.
I've been quoted $25,000 to restore the poor paint job, and giving sunwood kitchens a one star is generous.
DO NOT USE SUNWOOD KITCHENS. They subcontract their work and later not stand by their product.
