Shared an honest review with one star and had it taken down or hidden so perhaps I’ll just repost the positive part of my review. Hopefully it’s allowed to stay up.5 stars for the two amazing waitresses/bartenders at this location, they’re the real reason ill keep coming back. only great feedback for Cynthia and Violet, I hope they are recognized for their extremely hard work and grace under pressure.

Legion in Whalley 10626 City Pkwy, Surrey, BC V3T 4C7 Stopped if family day with our neighbors. The inside is bright and spacious. There was only one staff member working the bar and the tables. It was Happy hour so we tried the Chips with Salsa and Guacamole, fries and gravy and two of us for the burger special. The burger is basic for $10.95 with a beer or wine. Sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion. The server said it had cheese but it didn't or we would have added. The guacamole was a hit, lots of chips. The fries and gravy were good. There were on the happy hour menu for $3.95 but was charged $1.50 for gravy and $5.95 for fries. Some how we ended up with 2 orders of chips and salsa? My neighbor also go the Club house and he said it was excellent. I think I was also charged for my wine which is part of the happy hour special. I didn't even bother as the server was either overwhelmed or new. I hate pointing out errors but make sure you check your bill. We did show our member card and he said the discount was applied but I couldn't see anything. When I paid I tried to take the copy but he took it away. That's rude unless he knew what he was doing by over charging us. They have a nice seating area with a fire place and a juke box. 2 free pool tables and LOTS of seating. Will we go back, YES! We know if helps support our veterans.

OTHER THAN THE FOLLOWING I LOVE THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY THE NEW WAITRESSES. In on Monday for thanksgiving dinner and someone from the kitchen (presumably, he was wear a chef jacket) was standing with his arms cross like the local strip club bouncer behind the bar with a mean look on his face staring down every male customer that wouldn’t look break his eye contact first. He was also making comments that looked pretty mean to the waitresses trying to do their jobs. Waitresses avoided him like the plague and I would to if I were them. Sad to see such blatant disrespect for other people going on at a legion. Hope he’s not their boss.
