I have purchases beef from Habib Market for a few times and I usually purchase without bones. But today I purchased beef WITH bones.
I purchased 2kg of them for almost $24 and sad to say almost 750g of the total was bones, which amounts to more than $11. I know the price for beef with bones is bit lesser, but packing more than $11 worth of bones (almost 45% of the total weight) in to it is indeed cheating. I have attached pictures of the meat and bones I received today for reference. I trusted them to be fair and just in what they sell. Not satisfied at all.

I completed my night shift and waiting at the store by 9 am to buy a meat. By 9:30 I entered the shop for meat and they said come after one hour, no sympathy at all. The hunger and food is difficult here muslims they should understand and show some respect to customers who come from long ways.

I went to this store today. It was one of the best Halal meat stores ever. I haven't seen like this in the lower mainland. About the price I really like it. They have many things on sale, as I saw, for example. Box of chicken leg and chicken breast very cheap. And frozen lamb leg wow super cheap 5.99 per lb including cutting everything, and also i really liked their customer service. They understand the value of customers. I asked the guy to carry my staffs to my car he helped me in a very smile way. I really appreciate it. I really recommend it to you to check it out, never regret.

On August 10th, at approximately 12:30 pm, we purchased meat from Habib Market. The meat appeared pink while on display, which is what we requested. Unfortunately, upon returning home, we discovered the beef was discoloured (dark purple) and rotten. We immediately contacted the store to address this issue and requested to speak with the owner. However, the cashier informed us that they he could not provide the owner's contact details, though we asked that our contact information be passed along. We still have not received any response from the owner or management, which is disappointing and raises serious concerns about the store's commitment to food safety.
This was not the first incident. We found live worms in the dry fruit we purchased twice in December 2023. When we returned the contaminated products, the owner disposed of them before us. Given these recurring issues, it is clear that Habib Market's food safety standards are not being met. I feel compelled to report these concerns to the relevant health authorities for further investigation and to enforce proper food safety measures.
To your response please see my message below and the pictures.
I called your store on the same day (August 10th), within minutes of arriving home, when I discovered the meat was rotten. Unfortunately, your response only reinforces my concern that your store prioritizes profits over customer safety and health. Claiming that I called after five days without any investigation is misleading. Selling rotten meat is not only unethical and haram but also poses significant health risks to consumers. It’s disappointing to see a lack of accountability. Instead of making excuses and blaming customers, I urge you to address this issue responsibly. For your reference, I have attached my receipt and call log. Also alternatively, maybe selling rotten meat is a regular occurrence at your store and you get regular complaints about it.

i didnot want to do this review but was super disappointed so i had to long story short i needed Henna and ask the cashier for powder Henna the picture of the back of box is normal green put once i opened the box the colour is completely back mixed with hair dye strong Chemical he didnot mentioned if the Henna is black and is for hair we should be more mind full to deal with the costumers i didn’t ask for hair henna .disappointed.

This was our first time buying fresh meat from them! We got fresh lamb shoulder and we were hoping no gamey taste! Price was a bit high but fair! The service is top notch ! So friendly! The lamb tasted divine! We will come back again ! Thank you !

Edit: I recently had a disappointing experience with this store. When I purchased a meat product, I was dismayed to find it was mostly bone and very little meat, and it was overpriced. As a result, I won't be buying meat ? from them again.
Additionally, I purchased a thermoflask, but was misled about its condition. Despite being told it was new, it turned out to be a used product that had been returned by someone else. To my frustration, it failed to keep water hot for even a few hours, and when I tried to return it, the store refused to exchange or refund it. This was particularly disappointing given their earlier assurance that I could return it if I hadn't used it for tea or coffee. I would advise caution when shopping here.
