Dealing with this company was very stressful to say the least. I've used them in 2020 and had a great experience so I was not expecting the treatment I got for my move in 2024. First off I live in an apartment building so like most movers know apartment owners/renters need to book the elevator for moving. It usually comes with a cost which I paid $150 for the elevator. I requested the elevator for 9am-11am. Most apartment buildings only give you a max of 2 hours for reserving the elevator because there may be another group of people moving that day as well, especially at the end of the month. This moving company agreed Feb 6th to be there for 9am Feb 28th for the actual move. The movers showed up 2.5 HOURS LATE!!! Absolutely unacceptable. At that point I no longer had time on the elevator so I was emailing and calling back and forth with my strata begging for more time with the elevator. Luckily no other people were moving out that day and they extended the time. Who ever answers the business phone was lieing to me for 24 hours prior to my move as to why he may be late. First he claimed there wasn't proper insurance on the truck and he needed to go to icbc THE MORNING OF MY MOVE!! Who the hell does something like that last minute. I got zero discount for what they did. Extremely unprofessional.
Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of zero was because once the 2 guys showed up they were fast and efficient and cost was relatively low.

There should be a minus star option! They would receive it! Damaged $400 worth of items then refused to compensate by saying they fall under glass and electronics claus in their contract ( make sure you read it). It was a complete cabinet that happened to have a mirror in it, and the feet that happened to be on my TV. Then the guy tried to make me feel good by saying, I will compensate you $50. Be careful when signing the contract. They only pay 0.65 cents per pound for anything they break and they are not careful ( again make sure you read their contract). Charged for an extra 15 minutes which was most likely due to explaining all the stuff they broke. On top of it all they stopped all communication when we asked for a refund for the time.

Broken items and then said they didn't fall under replacement. Very poor customer service. Even charged us 15 minutes overtime! Maybe that's the 15 minutes you were breaking our things!

One of the best moving experiences I ever had. Kudos to the professional and efficient mover team. However, job was not easy since furniture needed to be moved from an apartment with an elevator to a townhouse but movers knew how to do it.

Worst Moving Company, Demanded payment before working and then almost took off with my money. These guys took forever and stood round on the phone. I tried to direct the movers and was repeatedly dismissed. They then said they were gonna go do a different job With my stuff.

I was hoping to get 3 movers but only received 2.3 movers. Because the 3rd man was weighing in at about 100lbs. The reason why I mention this is because not only did they tire fast but they didn't have the strength to handle my furniture carefully. The pace after 1 hour was significantly slow. I moved from an 800 sqft basement and it still took them 4.5 hours. They also took off their mask and ignored my multiple requests to have them back on. We never demanded that they worked 30 minutes for free. They took about a 25 minute lunch break and I asked them before hand if this was included within the bill and they responded "NO". When they did end up charging me at the end, all I did was told them that it's what they said and they agreed with me without any type of argument. I apologize if I have offended anyone in my statement but these are important facts especially when you're looking for people who can actually get the job done and done right. The man behind the phone is incredibly unprofessional who doesn't qualify the job in terms of just explaining exactly what is going to be charged and what is not. Before booking he stated that there would be no travel fee but only to charge us at the very end, which I paid anyways. If you're still willing to hire them after this review because you've read all the good ones well trust me when I say this. MOST of those other 5star reviews be fake anyways. Take my word for it and just choose the more expensive company because you get what you pay for. It's funny for the man behind the phone to respond to my pregnant wife with a concocted story of what actually happened. I hope through his responses you readers can get a clear understanding of what kind of man is running this business.I will not be using this company ever again. The reason I'm giving them only 1stars is because I sent them a $100 security deposit. After the move I called to get it back, he proceeded to tell me I would only receive $20 back. After a long argument he agreed to refund my $100. Mind you I tipped these guys very well. I checked my acc and they sent it back to me, only to CANCEL it before it was posted. I will not be using this company ever again. I gave them 2 stars because the guys that helped me move was a big help. The reason I'm giving them only 2 stars is because I sent them a $100 security deposit. After the move I called to get it back, he proceeded to tell me I would only receive $20 back. After a long argument he agreed to refund my $100. Mind you I tipped these guys very well. I checked my acc and they sent it back to me, only to CANCEL it before it was posted. They thought I wouldn't notice either... you are the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with.In response to your reply. I didn't make them stay after I paid them to work, we asked them before the bill was settled. They should've billed us for their time, instead of you trying to take money from a security deposit. Maybe you should search up what a security deposit is. Again you sent the money only to CANCEL it, so no you didn't return it.

Good Place Moving Company completed my move on time. They are really good movers. They took great care for all our stuff. Movers did excellent job. They confirmed the job one day ahead and ask for COVID questions. It is really good that they care for the COVID. I recommend this Good Place Moving Company to everyone.Service: Local moving

I had the opportunity to use Good place Movers last month for my move to Kelowna. The service and punctuality was second to none. The rates was reasonable and they really took care of my belongings. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to a friend or family.

The review was put in by the movers when THEY asked me to do a review from MY phone. We were given a quote $550 2 men, then they phoned next day talked to my mother who we were moving [I am deaf] she is 94. Said can they bring 3 men they would charge $40 per hr each instead of $60 for 2? So she said ok. 1/2 hr LATE took 3 1/2 hours to get there if you include them driving way up the wrong street [I showed them a map of direct route. Quite often driver went over lines into next lane and back went into a church parking lot back onto road to go right way. Instead of quoted $550 it cost $880? Unless they credit back to her account I going to BBB, Global News Consumers Matter, Vancouver Sun, the Province about it!

Terrible company. Do not recommend. They were late, brought too small a truck, only one of the three workers did anything: one was a kid and the third was a drunk - hungover and useless. Walla were damaged, furniture and appliances were damaged. Managevent was unhelpful and dishonest.

*****DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY *****!!!! The owner Ray is a liar and thief. He agreed on a flat rate for a move when he arrived at our new place he said unless we gave him another $ 300,00 He would leave our stuff in the parking lot!!!!! . He then started adding on extra charges like travelling time which was never discussed before. He had a $ 500 ,00 deposit that he said he would return in full but then decided he instead of the flat rate we agreed on to now charge hourly . We ended up having to do a good part of the move on our own .He refuses to give us a copy of the signed contract . DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD , You WILL regret using this company

Most unprofessional experience I have ever had. They were late, short staffed and moved extra slow so they could charge us extra. Then couldn't supply a receipt at the end of the transaction. I seriously don't recommend this company!!!!!
