I got a DSC related issue which I can't find anyone in my area to fix it (either gaving me bs advice for $50 or just simply asking me to replace my main board). I've then contacted Ken and asked if he would provide service in my area, and he has walked me through my issue over the phone patiently, and eventually the issue was solved with his professional advice. I really appreciate Ken's kindness and professionalism.

Ken at Genesis Alarms installed our home security system 7 years ago. The workmanship was top notch. Recently, the alarm batteries died and i subsequently had a power outage at the same time. (Call it Murphy's Law) The batteries were replaced however the alarm continued to indicate a general system fault. Ken was able to diagnose the issue and walked me through the system to resolve the fault over the telephone. The level of customer service provided by Ken is simply outstanding. I would highly recommend Genesis Alarms.

Was recommended to Genesis Alarms/Ken via my sister to repair my home alarm system. Ken was able to quickly diagnose and replace a couple of parts to get the system functional again in just over an hour including testing and review; whereas other vendors I contacted were more interested in upselling me to a completely new system or services. Very happy with the quality of work, explanation throughout the process, and reasonable pricing.

Our ancient hard-wired DSC alarm system was badly in need of an upgrade, with a worn out keypad and two door sensors destroyed during recent renovations. Ken was quick to respond to my call, listened carefully to our concerns and, with his years of experience, was able to suggest the perfect solution. No hard sell, though! He was very courteous, explained the technology, answered all our questions, and left the decision to us. We now have a new DSC system that incorporates our existing hard-wired sensors along with new wireless sensors for the two doors in question (with extra capacity in the event that we choose to expand our security coverage in the future). We are thrilled, and give Ken top marks!

We just signed up with Genesis as our previous provider had sold their business. Ken at Genesis is exceptionally knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He quickly and efficiently switched us over to Genesis and cleared up a few problems the old provider had been unable to sort out. I’m super happy to have switched to Genesis.

When searching for a company to make some modifications to my home alarm system and to setup monitoring I came across Genesis Alarms and Ken. I'm glad I did. Ken was extremely helpful and knowledgable. He took the time to explain the options available for what I was trying to achieve and was transparent with the cost and time it would take to set things up. The system has been working great and I couldn't be happier. I'd definitely recommend Ken and I'd go with him again if I have any future needs.

If you’re looking for a competent, reliable, professional, and trustworthy service technician, contact Genesis Alarms. I had the pleasure of dealing with the owner, Ken Wong, to resolve a problem with my 20+ year old DSC home alarm system. Given the age of the system, I found most other companies’ preference was to upgrade to a new generation DSC system, rather than identifying the root cause and repairing the existing system. Apparently parts for the old generation DSC system are either no longer available or hard to find. I was also given the option to subscribe to a professional home security monitoring service, a new monthly cost that I wasn’t interested in.I wanted to avoid having to upgrade to an expensive new system if possible. Thankfully I found Genesis Alarms through Google search. There’s a reason why Genesis Alarms consistently receives strong reviews. Ken spent time helping me troubleshoot the issue by phone first. He was patient and guided me through the process step-by-step. It turned out the panel board needed to be replaced. Fortunately Ken had proactively pre-stocked DSC parts and provided me with 2 different panel board options. He gave me a fair quote for the part and labour, and installed the new panel board a couple days later.It was evident that Ken had extensive experience and technical knowledge of the DSC system. I am grateful that he was able to resolve the issue without having to replace the entire system and saving me money. I would highly recommend Genesis Alarms to my friends and family and would not hesitate to contact Ken again in the future. Thank you Ken!

Very professional service. Ken was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. He got our system up and and running despite it being a bit of a tricky situation with respect to accessing our central system. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about Genesis Alarms. Ken was outstanding. Having been with another company since 2021, there is no comparison. The monitoring is local - not remote. To get in touch with a real person is both quick and simple- no overseas call centre.From first contact, the entire process was professional and efficient. We recommend Genesis highly.

Not a 'real' customer but had a virtual consult with Ken regarding a doorbell issue. He spent thirty minutes with me on the phone to troubleshoot a doorbell system that he didn't set up but provided great advice for follow-ups that I was able to use and identify the root culprit.
