We are so pleased to have experience a friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable adoption time with BC SPCA in Surrey. We were given a time to bond to the cat we choose to adopt. And we are so happy to bring him home. Thanks Rebecca and Jen for helping us. ?❤️

Had a lovely experience here. The staff seemed to genuinely care about the animals, and they were extremely kind. They were really great about answering questions and helping us when we decided to adopt. They even went above and beyond and lent us a carrier to help us bring home our new kittens.

Adopted a beautiful cat from here named Harvey. Great team to help you with all the paperwork and very professional and friendly towards customers.Steps to adopt.1. Visit your local BC SPCA and fill out an adoption application (can also be done online).2. If your a good fit to become a caretaker for any animal you choose to adopt they will help you with selecting your pet and filling out any other paperwork.3. Once the paperwork is done you will receive your pet along with any essentials required for your pet to have a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.Great service, good people and fantastic procedure. Recommend 10/10 ?

What a first great experience visiting. The staff there are friendly and informative. My small group was welcomed at the front and were brought in to visit the cats, mouse, and bunny in residence.

The SPCA came up in the news recently about neglected Pandemic dogs. An SPCA member is quoted as saying,“We definitely don't want anyone to feel like they can't reach out to us. We want people to call us if animals are in distress, or if they're feeling overwhelmed,” says Chortyk."I brought 2 neglected and abandoned dogs to the Surrey SPCA about 5 years ago. They weren't my dogs but I didn't want them to suffer. It floored me at how absolutely horrible I was treated when I asked for help. As if I were the one who abused the dogs. I was scolded one had to be euthanized and the other needed extensive dental work. I was *FORCED* and pressured to pay something like $160 to leave those dogs there. It's been 5 years and I'm constantly reminded how horrible the SPCA is whenever I see news articles about them pleading with people to reach out for help.
