I booked an appointment over the phone in advance, giving my vehicle year and information plus claim number. I drove over from salt spring island to drop off the vehicle for assessment and repair as this is a registered icbc claims center. They changed their mind when I arrived and sent me away, saying that my vehicle was too old (1999). Huge waste of time and money for me and my family. I recommend you take your icbc claims elsewhere to avoid a hassle.

I'd give zero stars if possible. 2 months to sort out the basic fact that my vehicle is non-repairable is rediculous! This shop held my vehicle for 2 months after being told it would be returned repaired ' in about a week'. Zero followup calls from them with 100% of the onus put on me to chase them down for answers that were never forthcoming. Every time I was promised a call with information, the call never came, and I was required to chase them after them time. 2 estimates submitted to ICBC, each 2 months apart. Thats 2 months without a vehicle, any progress, information, resolution, or even the basic courtesy of information. The snide and arrogant appraiser is well aware that body shops are printing money and couldn't care less that their in house staffing change that evidently took place significantly contributed to this major inconvenience. Finally some truth after 2 months! Yes body shops are in high demand, but no you should not abandon customer service, nor base level common courtesy. I would steer clear of this place to avoid any similar hassles.

I'd summarise it as "It's kinda like one of those little places that is a little out of the way - but I'm going there again because I got such great service and treatment. I know what I'm going to get."For a 1-tech shop - they go above and beyond. Thanks Boyd for making our Solterra look brand new again (and the interior cleaning job you did was perfect too).

Went to this location because they were able to get me in quicker. Really good service. They were able to repair my car super quickly! They also drove me to enterprise when the rental car wasn’t delivered to boyd on time which I really appreciated.

I was at their Sidney shop. Shop closed on a weekday. Posted sign on door said staff shortages & to visit their subsidiary in Keating X Road instead.I phoned to make estimate appointment. Over phone given date was end of August making it more than 3 weeks, wow! That busy?

I did not use this business, only asked two workers outside for directions to Fountain Tire, which I found out later was only 50 more metres down the street from them. The girl said she didn’t know and Oxford English speaking fellow send me back down the road in the opposite direction. Really? You didn’t know Fountain Tire was 50 metres down the street from you? I was on my bicycle having ridden from south Saanich to pick up my car from fountain tire that somebody had dropped off for me. Not impressed.

Got my motorcycle tank satin clear coated here. They didn't even clearcoat a portion of the tank, its currently peeling all over and I don't think enough hardner was used. The tanks sheen in certain areas is changing from satin to semi gloss, and if a spec of dust touches the tank it scratches, it's scratched in areas where there's not even anything touching it. The bike is garage kept and I don't leave parked anywhere so it shouldn't be scratched to the extent it is. It was done around March 2021. I've never seen such bad work. The person who did the majority of the work before the tank went into get clear coated called and the customer service was bad, they are not willing to fix the awful work they have done. For any painting services stay far away.Service: Painting

Came in for some work on my bumper caused in a parking lot by another driver. Chris was very prompt and every time he called he made the whole process easy. My car was done a day earlier than expected and both Chris and the other guy at the office were friendly and took the time to show me the work they did as well as explain things to me!Thank you again for the wonderful service!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I am still trying to have the company correct a mistake that occurred by their team from last year. Continually being promised with no results or call backs. This is a big company and would expect them to stand by their commitment to serve clients in a professional manner and take ownership and responsibility for their mistakes to make things right.

I had a windshield replacement done at the shop. First of all, the shop don’t have a service to drop customers at a nearby location. I need a ride from their Sidney shop to ferry terminal. They has to use my own vehicle to drive me to ferry terminal and they drove back to their shop to work on my vehicle. After the replacement done, the sensor of my windshield is not working and whipper won’t automatically whip . Each appointment takes about a week. I did miss the first appointment and I booked a second appointment again. When I arrived there, it feels like their staff no willing to arrive me back to my office which is at the ferry terminal.The service is not good. The job is not done professionally. I have to come second time.I had my windshield replaced in other place before and has no issues at all.I won’t come back to Boyd Auto Shop in Sidney again.
