The best strawberries...great reason to go on a Saanich country drive and stop at Gobind Farms.

Bought some strawberries this weekend that taste like they were driven in from California and sold at a premium price. Agree that their jams are too liquid even for a jelly. Would not buy from here again.

The fruit here is always very fresh. They have a large variety of berries: blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries. You can buy them in combinations. They also have zucchini, peppers and the rest of it. It's clean. On hot days. They have a nice cool fan blowing on the fruit so it doesn't get mushy. They also have jams and pies and various things according to the season. The people are lovely as well. I drive all the way down from North Saanich to get my fruit there.

I've purchased berries from them in the past, and they've ranged from pretty good to amazing. I bought a strawberry jam from them and I've never been so disappointed. It's practically water.

My Wife and I are advocates of "Buy Local". Today she bought two flats of berries at Gobind. Upon returning home we quickly discovered that the top layer of the berries were nice. However, we had to cull at least 20% of the berries because they were inferior. These were sold to us as table fare at a premium price and were not intended to be jam berries. Yet they were nothing less than Jam quality. I find this quite curious.

I have purchased fruit from Gobind Farms in previous years. Usually a little pricier than other farms, but good fruit.Recently, I emailed to ask about specific frozen fruit, no reply.I emailed again, no reply. I finally called and the lady who answered the phone gave me the price for the frozen berries I was inquiring about, $70 - $80 for 10 lbs. I asked if the price could be cheaper since the fruit was frozen and from last years crop. She said "you want cheaper, go elsewhere" and then hung up on me.I then sent another email expressing my dissatisfaction and shock at the inconsiderate customer service, especially being hung up on. Again, no reply.Based on this, I likely will never give them my business again.I purchase a large amount of fruit each year, so to me, is a great deal of business as I make jam in large quantities, etc.I wish I had received a reply from the owner when I emailed regarding the awful customer service, they could have redeemed themselves.

I purchased a lot of strawberries from this farm. The first day they were great, but they were moldy very very quickly. Quite pricy for not lasting too long. I also bought 2 jars of jam which were not edible and tasted very "off". Grateful we didn't get sick.
