The best coin shop/bullion dealer in the lower mainland. Their prices for metals are lower than other places you’ll find. Very knowledgeable staff who are passionate about what they do. They may get overwhelmed at times but it’s a small shop ran by few people, what can you expect? Be patient and they will take care of you.

This place does not deserve even 1 star! Owner of shop very short with me basically playing a game of what coin I was after and because I couldn’t give him one specific coin refused to bring out a few of the general genre of coin I was wanting to see. He said there was very little profit in these types of coins and that it “wasn’t worth digging around in the back to bring them out. I suggest selling your inventory and closing shop. Never seen anything like this! Walked out after 30 seconds. Don’t waste your time. Pathetic!!!!

I always look forward to going to Western Coin and Stamp when I am visiting from the States, I just started collecting during covid 2021. I have learned a lot from Jim about US, Canadian, World coins, 1 oz Silver .999 Collectible rounds. He has helped me build my coin collection exponentially with very fair pricing. As a former customer of Western Coins & Stamp Ltd I am appalled at the treatment I received from owner Jim Richardson. In Feb of 2019 Mr. Richardson botched the value of some silver I sold to him - to his detriment - & after I went to a lot of trouble to give him $4,636 (that I didn’t have to) to make up for his mistake he promised to compensate me for my efforts. That was almost 4 yrs ago & after checking back with Jim a number of times all I have been met with amounts to unfulfilled promises & at this point, based on my experience, I personally do not believe him to be a man of his word.What makes this even worse is the fact that before this event I had been a regular Western Coins & Stamp customer, dating back to 2000, who was always friendly, respectful & courteous to Jim. In fact previously, back in 2010, I had posted a 5 star review. All told; I had been lulled into believing that there was a high degree of rapport between us & that I was respected as a long time customer - sadly now I feel nothing could have been further from the truth.Never again.
