If it was called Sport Check lite or mini, I think the overall experience would be positive. However since they don't sell sports equipment it's very misleading and vastly different from their previous location in Richmond Centre.

The one sport chek store that doesnt sell sports equipment. Who is going to tell them they haven’t a chance in hell of competing with lululemon, Nike, j2 and the gazillion other athleisure stores in this mall. The saddest part is that the person who made the decision to get rid of all the things people would actually go here for probably gets paid six figures…?♂️

Racial Discrimination - I wish I could give 0 rating or even Negative rating.I noticed other reviews where people are complaining about RUDE/UNPROFESSIONAL behavior by Store Manager. I am pretty sure it would be Albert. But my question is what is SportChek management doing about customers complaining about RUDE Store Managers.The worst customer experience at this store. I usually purchase a lot of items online but always check the return policy before buying. In this case I went to this store to return couple items due to sizing issues. I was told the manager has to approve the return even though the items were purchased couple days ago. The store “manager Albert” was the most disrespectful and rude person you can think of. He quoted “protocol “ which has never been enforced before and the manner which he was talking was so demeaning. I requested him to make an exception for me as I have difficulty walking and his response was “exceptions are treated as Red flags at that store “. What kind of store does that? I am not sure how this kind of rude unprofessional behavior is shown by a Manager. I hardly go to this store due to some previous experience at the same store but unfortunately this is the closest step to my home. The store manager had no manners, showed zero respect towards a disable person. I would NEVER visit this store and would ask everyone to shop from stores where the managers and staff have courteous behavior and respect towards the customers. The manager’s behavior was a classic example of discrimination against Asian customers.

This location stocks some shoes and clothing, but they don't carry any sports goods, so not entirely sure of the purpose of this location.

Helpful staff, Jessie was very patient and was there to provide a solution for a rather complicated situation. Manager Navid was friendly as well. Well informed employees, and an organized store.

I can not believe that they do not sell sport tape or hockey tape. Why do they call themselves Sport Check? The manager, I believe, without an uniform tell me to google it instead of refer to other Sport Check. What kind of sales is that? I needed at that moment. Why would I google it? Maybe they want me to buy from Amazon?

I don't normally review shopping experience but, for the exceptional experience I received from Ariel, I felt compiled to do so.I needed some swimming gear right away and I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Ariel in my recent quest for swimming gear. From the moment I entered the store, I was met with Ariel's friendly and welcoming demeanor. He took the time to understand my specific needs and budget, and showed me the items that fitted my needs. He was patient and presented me the various options to choose from, and the pros and cons with each. This enabled me to make an informed decision on what would work best for me, instead of feeling pressured into buying the most expensive items.

The Richmond Center Sportcheck became pretty sad when they downsized to the other end of the mall. There is still clothing and shoes but there is no sporting equipment or skate shop on location now. The selection has been reduced drastically since the move.

I owe this SportChek a review. Please read below for the sake of your curiosity:2 weeks ago, I was in a tight schedule where I had to a buy gift for a birthday on the day of celebration itself. I know that sounds super irresponsible, but thankfully this branch of SportChek came to my rescue by giving me such an amazing customer service. The responsibility and helpfulness of the staff in this SportChek balanced out my lack of responsibility.What was supposed to be a panic buying day, became a smooth sailing successful day. Thanks for the help of Mr. Albert (Manager) and Ms. Sahar, who made the day smooth and made me experience such an amazing customer service.So why would I say such as the above?Thats because out of all the gift I can pick, I had to pick the item that lost its price tag!Not sure how that happened but I really wanted to get that particular item. So it became a bit complicated and almost didnt get the item, but luckily Mr. Albert and Ms. Sahar quickly found solutions while maintaining a friendly atmosphere.So yes very satisfied with the experience

This is just another clothing store!! Nothing resembles sport chek in anyway!! Its clear that they are trying ro adjust to the market by offering clothing only, but in the process they forgot what sport chek is all about!!

Amazing service. I was visiting last night (Jan 11th 2023), around 6:30pm - 7pm. I bought a hiking boots online and went to exchange for a bigger size. I was greeted immediately by the staff and one of them checked for my size. Unfortunately they didn't have my size but I stayed a bit to check the boots they had there. Another staff member came and he went above and beyond to help me chose. And when I didn't like any, he proposed that i return the boots I bought online and order a bigger size though the store. That was a prefect solution for me. The transaction at the cashier went smooth and quick. I was really impressed with the service.

Not a huge store. They processed my return pretty quick. Just didn’t like having to say my full name, postal code, and phone number out loud in a busy store.

Impatient and disrespectful staff who failed to find my pickup order three times. The fourth time she finally managed to do it but became rather impatient as she copied down all the information.Finally I was told to show my photo ID even I have the exact email for order confirmation and pick up info. However when I looked for an image of id on my phone she constantly clicked the table with her nails and finally lectured me to bring a physical id next time.I’m afraid machines could do a better job and there is better no next time.

Poor customer service. The young lady with brown curly hair at the checkout desk yawn in front of me and had attitudes. Didn’t seem to care at all when I asked her questions. If the store wants to find out who this staff was, I visited the store at 1:35 pm today which is Nov 10th.
