I had a terrible experience with this shop when I brought my VW Golf in for a cooling fan replacement. Nothing but headaches, and I will never bring my vehicle here again.
Due to a family emergency I had to leave town during the repair and my mother picked up the car on my behalf. When I returned home and tried to open the hood to check the work, one of the mechanics neglected to reconnect the latch mechanism and there was no tension in the lever used to open the hood. I brought the car back to Ben and he fixed it by the next day, no charge. I was annoyed to have to go back for this, but whatever, it was resolved quickly.
Only a couple months later, the cheap aftermarket fans were starting to fail. I had a cross Canada road trip planned the following week, and needed the work to be warrantied pretty much immediately. I understand how difficult it might be to slip in a service appointment last minute, but after being let down the first time with the hood latch I hoped to be able to get prompt service. After some debating over the phone I lost confidence in the shop to actually perform the warranty properly and had a different shop I had used before do the repair.
To his credit, and the only reason I’m giving 2 stars, is because Ben did refund the cost of the part that failed when I brought it back to him without putting up a fuss. Still, this was a massive waste of time and money for me.

Did an amazing job to replace wheel bearing and hub assembly. I appreciated the explanations. Ben put in extra effort to achieve an affordable cost by ordering good parts. Completed fast and in the same day. Highly recommend

H Tech Motor did a wonderful job with my brake rotor replacement. Ben was very courteous and easy-going. The price was also very reasonable.
The only regret I have is I wished I knew about this place sooner. From now on, H Tech Motor will probably be my one stop shop for all car maintenance and service needs.

In the morning, a nail was inserted into the car to repair the tire. The boss is really nice and fast. There is no extra charge. He is a ruthless person who doesn't talk much. He also inflated each wheel for you and checked the tire pressure. It was very good. I will recommend it to my friends❤️

On a visit to Richmond, I spent a very stressful and frustrating couple of days getting towed twice to another auto shop, and them not having a clue why my PT Cruiser enegine was overheating. I needed to get home and found H Tech Motor online. I was impressed by their 5 star rating and excellent reviews. Ben greeted me with friendliness and concern, and to my great delight, he was able to rightaway diagnose that my thermostat was badly corroded and needed replacing, and my radiator cap was not sealing properly. The repair costs were reasonable, and 2 days later I was back on the road and drove safely home with no further problems. If I lived in Richmond, H Tech Motor would definitely be my top choice for any future car issues.

H Tech Motor INC charged about 1/2 of what Mobil1 does for a battery install, and the service was fast and courteous. Maybe that is why they rate 8% higher than Mobil1 on Google reviews.Service: Battery

I came to his house many times to change the locks, tires, brake pads, etc. The boss is very nice and efficient. If I have any questions for him, he will answer my questions enthusiastically and will come back again.

This shop is reliable for car repairs! The boss takes action personally! Unlike other stores. A bunch of apprentices will fix it for you. fair price. It's just that I'm usually quite busy and business is good. Reservation is required in advance!

After having 2 negative experiences with mechanics (overcharging or missing important maintenance issues), I have been getting my car serviced here for the last few years. Ben is skilled, honest and thorough. I've never had a negative experience. Reasonable prices, highly recommend!
