My first time going to Boyd Auto body- in Richmond. Minor auto body job, Leo and fellas in shop were great and took care of me right away at my appointment time. Will absolutely go here again if needed and I can highly recommend this shop. Thanks so much fellas!

Update July 23: The shop is trying to make it right, they have repainted my bumpers and this time gave me a brand new rental car while my car was in the shop. I am still working through some open issue with them, hoping to finish the rest of the work soon when the replacement part arrives.
Original Post: Had my car towed here in January and they worked on it for over 4 months. I did not get any updates proactively from the business, after not hearing anything for the first 2 months, I started calling every 2 weeks for an update where they said they would need 2 more weeks, I got the same excuses for 8 weeks. When I finally picked up the car, the major repair work was fine (some panel gaps that I can live with) but the detailing is bad. The "paint touch up" was a goopy mess and looked horrible, they also did it last minute and it was still wet!! There were
glass shards still inside the car from the accident. I accepted the car as is to end this nightmare and because I can do a better job cleaning and correcting the paint at home. Overall, a very long wait time for a very mediocre job and lots of excuses. I couldn’t even be excited about getting my car back cause all the other stuff was so bad. The irony is that I sought out this shop because I heard the work was good, I was sorely mistaken.

All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. I was able to get an appointment immediately, where they told me they could likely polish out the majority of my paint scratch. They had my car looking good as new in under 20 min! Will definitely be returning with any future car damage.

Huge thanks to Aminder for making the whole process super easy and fast. Many body shops in the area had long wait times but he managed to squeeze me in and get the job done asap. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a ICBC claim taken care of or any sort of regular repair.

Brought my car in for an exhaust weld fix and was left with a leaky connection after 4 attempts. Management will always try to shift the blame to others when told that the issue wasn’t fully fixed. They would not even bother to verify the issue until you can prove that the problem still persists yourself. Been driving all winter with either windows down or exhaust fumes blowing back into the cabin, which is a major risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. The level of negligence at this shop is not worth the time and hassle. At the end of the day, if they’ve prematurely closed your claim and lose money from working on your car, you’re on your own. Their guarantees and warranty is all for show.

Great service, very respectful and helpful staff.I was treated kindly and in a warm and friendly manner every time I came into the shop. I would highly recommend this shop without hesitation. The mechanic went above and beyond to make sure I was happy before I drove away. Excellent service!

I recently had my windshield replaced at Boyd Autobody & Glass, and unfortunately, I had a negative experience. After the windshield replacement, they did not properly reconnect the windshield washer nozzle. When it rained, I noticed water leaking into the car, and it became clear that the nozzle was not functioning as it should. I contacted the company to address the issue, but they were uncooperative and tried to deflect responsibility. I was disappointed with their lack of accountability and customer service. It's essential for any auto service provider to stand behind their work and rectify issues promptly, but Boyd Autobody & Glass failed to meet these expectations.

Leo and Jim helped me deal with a private repair easily, effectively, and with such great service! I’d recommend this location to my friends, family, and anyone who needs auto body repairs.I’ve dealt with other auto body shops before, but Boyd Autobody and Glass really went above and beyond the other shops I’ve had to deal with in the past. They have a good scheduling system and are good at what they do.

These guys are my heroes. I'm not even kidding, they totally saved me and then went above and beyond after that.Long story short, someone keyed my car and damaged my door lock a couple of years ago. I made the claim right away but then procrastinated on following through with the repairs (for which there is a 2-year time limit if you want it covered by your insurance). I figured I'd have all the time in the world to get it done but then suffered a health condition that took me out for the months leading up to my 2-year deadline. So there's me, trying to find an auto body shop that would take my car in for repair on less than a week's notice. I initially didn't realize how ridiculous of a request that was until I spoke to my insurance provider and then called a large number of other auto body shops. Turns out they all have a 6-week waiting list right now. I literally got laughed at when I called some auto body shops to ask if they could take me right away. But Boyd Autobody Richmond was sympathetic to my situation and agreed to take my car right away, despite how busy they are.I was already on cloud 9 and so incredibly grateful when I went in to pick up my car. But little did I know, they still had one surprise left for me. After paying my deductible and getting my keys, I walked out to my car to examine their work. It was perfect. I then jumped in my car, prepared to drive off, when I looked around and saw that my car was immaculately clean. I was shocked. To put this into perspective, my car has not been that clean in years. I have two huskies, both of which shed like you wouldn't believe and love to run through mud, as well as the sand at the beach after getting wet. And then they get in my car. I literally gave up on trying to keep my car clean years ago. And I'm pretty sure there was close to an inch of husky hair than had accumulated on the floor of my back seats, which I tended to ignore because I have a little 2-door BMW so it was hard to get to that area and I never really had to see it anyway. So let's just say, I was convinced my car would never be clean again unless I paid at least $500 for a professional to detail it. I in no way expected Boyd Autobody to clean the inside of my car like that...and BMW certainly doesn't do it whenever I've taken my car in for servicing (not that I can blame them, lol). But Boyd Autobody Richmond went above and beyond on that front. I don't even want to know how many hours it took the poor guy assigned that task to complete it. I was so impressed and grateful that I ran back inside and asked if I could give the guy who cleaned my car a tip. But they, with a smile, said no, it's all good, and they would pass along my thanks.I am never taking my car to another auto body shop again.

I brought my car in for a bumper repair. This was through ICBC but Peter and the guys at Boyd Autobody got the job done very efficiently. Their work was quick yet impeccable, and my car looks brand new. Their service was kind, friendly, and honest. I loved my experience at Boyd, they made a stressful situation a breeze. I will recommend this team to all my family and friends who need repairs on their vehicles - ICBC or not. If you are getting repairs done through ICBC/your insurance, I highly recommend Boyd.
