It was a terrible experience. The necklace broke. I had to weld it. I was told it cost 38 dollars before repairing it. I agreed. After the repair, it became 45 dollars. I wanted to ask, even if it includes tax, does it cost 7 dollars? What tax do you charge? In the end, they negotiated and charged me 40 dollars. Forget it, I checked that the necklace looks like the picture. Is it not polished after welding? Or is your technique just not polished? I asked that this solder joint be polished for me to make it more like the one next to it. The store owner said impatiently, "It doesn't matter just a little bit. I said every little bit should be done, right?" I impatiently took it away and fiddled with it twice before bringing it to me. I was too lazy to read it. At this level, I don’t even know where the 5-point rating came from. If I could give 0 points, I would never give 1⭐

Read the reviews and came here. Walked off with purchases wondering what these 1 star crybabies reviewers yapping about. The service was fantastic and Ken have deep knowledge about gemstones and how to select something that punch above the pricing weight.I purchased a ring, get my older ring polished, remade rings to new jewelry, replaced battery and never had any issues. After sales support is always there if you want to give your jewelry that brand new shine always.Point is, if you want a 89 cent battery, buy it on Amazon for a dollar and install it yourself. And if your Swiss watch needs a spacer to hold the dial and has tolerance of a Swiss cheese, these geriatric coffin dodgers up in Switzerland would pay you money to say it’s Italian made.Otherwise, I’ll recommend this place hands down.

I needed to get my gold ring repaired as the onyx gemstone had loosened off the base. My co worker had suggested Bo Cheong and I tried them out. Service was efficient and reasonably priced.

Terrible experience. Do not spend your money here. My partner and I have both called/messaged via their provided email AND message box and they STILL haven't got back. Worst customer service.

literally not a pleasant experience bcuz he definitely charge highly with no reason. He said the battery change service is cad8 plus tax but actually charge them CAD10. I was confused so decided to go with card but he still charge cad9!!! I can’t believe this!! He was trying to fool people who don’t know anything about tax or what?? The amount should be 8.96 CAD. I know it’s just 4cents but I don’t even care to give him 10 if he only ask for 8.96!! But he still very insists on having me pay 9cad!!! With the card machine!! Omfg… He was even trying to argue that 8.96 equals 9.. but even 8.97should be paid as 8.95 and I don’t even know how he runs his business for such a long time..no wonder there’s no customer coming…guess it makes sense seeing all those bad reviews after all.. wish I could have done some research earlier… will NEVER come back.

Bo Cheong has been my go to jewelry store for the past two decades. Ken is a certified gemologist and a master craftsman. He had always exceeded my expectations whenever I asked him to custom make a piece of jewelry for me. My latest custom made opal ring was so unbelievably gorgeous that I almost wept when I saw it. Ken is also extremely trust worthy and frank. He will not promise you something that he could not deliver and he would never pressure or hard sell you. He gets my highest recommendation!!!!

Never take your watch here. They do not have the right tools nor attitude and care. I got the glass face replaced here and it was the worst job I've ever seen. There were speckles of dust/glass remnants stuck on the inside of the glass and dial. It's not just 1 or 2 speckles, there are at least 20 majorly visible specks that could have been easily removed if he cared or paid attention. The glue job was done very poorly all around the edge of the glass. Worst of all, the glass wasn't even installed flat. One side of the glass is wedged higher than the other side. The glass is slanted up as if the glass was too big for my watch but he didn't care and just ignored and kept pushing it in. Also, the dial is slightly bent like it's been fiddled around with a sharp tool near the 12 o'clock mark. When confronted, he pretty much said "deal with it" and "none of that was his fault or problem." Never offered to redo it properly. To top it off, the watch doesn't even work anymore. I came in with a perfectly working watch and new battery that only had a broken glass, and left with a broken, poorly repaired, useless watch.

A little over a year ago I was in the market for an engagement ring for my fiancée. I spent months researching rings on price, quality, and style. I scoured the lower mainland visiting one jeweler after the next. From large brand name retailers to smaller boutique shops. Bo Cheong was one of the stores I visited near the food court at the Richmond Public Market.
Ken, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable. He was honest and answered every single one of my questions. Ken also gave me suggestions based on the references I provided. Coupled with their fair prices, I ultimately made the decision to go ahead with a custom engagement ring. The result? Stunning. Seriously, it surpassed all of my expectations. More importantly, my fiancée absolutely adored it! I was so happy with both the service and quality of the product. To make the experience even better, there was no pressure at any stage of the process.
My fiancée and I now take everything jewelry related there. From getting rings cleaned or resized to replacing watch batteries. It has always been an absolute pleasure to work with Ken. I will definitely continue taking my business to Bo Cheong.

I have been taking my watches to Wing Hing Watch for decades with great service. A few months ago, Wing Hing Watch was closed so I took my Swiss Military watch to Bo Cheong Jewellery to have its battery replaced. Cost only $5 and was fast. When I got home I readjusted the time and noticed when I pulled the crown, the entire face of the watch moved too! I didn't think much of it again until I went swimming the following week and water got into the watch! I took it back to Bo Cheong Jewellery to have it fixed but the repair guy said "You don't have proof I damaged your watch." Then I took it to Wing Hing Watch (my regular place) and the guy told me that the o-ring was installed incorrectly (leaking water) and also the spacer inside the watch was missing (moving watch face). Ended up paying $40 to Wing Hing Watch to fix the damage caused by Bo Cheong. Don't bring your watch to Bo Cheong Jewellery!!!!

They replaced my watch battery for $6. Friendly and fast service. Might be the cheapest place in town for watch battery replacements. Located beside the food court.
