“Couldn’t be happier that we met Anthony who has trained and prepared our teenage daughter for the past 2 club volleyball seasons. She has improved both her upper and lower body strength since joining the Long Term Athlete Development program. She has also befriended other teenagers (some in different sports such as basketball) who are enjoying the performance boost from their training as well. I like the sense of community and sound advice provide by the instructors. As such, I would recommend parents who have teenagers in sports take a look at their program.”

“Seeing the recent fake negative review on AF’s Instagram made me want to leave my own. This is a great gym with a supportive, professional coaching team and a motivating environment. I trained here for a few months and only stopped recently because I'm sadly moving out of the country - otherwise I’d still be a member.

From the start, all fees and policies were explained clearly. The consistently positive reviews reflect my experience as well. AF offers very engaging boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, HIIT, and other classes for all levels, and I've always left sessions feeling pumped. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, challenging, and well run gym.”

“I decided to sign up here because I was struggling so much with a personal family situation that, made me feel a lot of anxiety and sadness.
After taking counseling, I just felt like I needed to punch something and I didn't know how...until I asked chatGPT and it told me the options I could go to and here I am.

It's so easy to schedule an online appointment and the first session is for free. If you like it, you can just keep going, if you don't, then you can just take your time and do it at your own pace and see how you like it.
Since I had an experience that almost interfered with my daily life, I decided to give it a shot...and I found it the most helpful tool for my inner process right now.

I've been here for a couple of months and I love how, at the end of every session, I just end up physically exhausted, but mentally positive and happy. It's been the most convenient way for me to release my negative thoughts and energy and make it in something meaningful and positive for my life. I am so glad that the monthly payments can be adjusted according to your needs and you've got the option to put it on hold if you go on vacation or for any other reason that you just cant go.

There's another HUGE, like, a really big deal for me and it is that, there's a small area for toddlers. When I was told I can bring my son with me (because most of the time I've got nobody to look after him) I got even more motivated because, my son can see his mom working out at the same time that he is safe at that small area. THIS IS THE THING I LOVE THE MOST FROM HERE and I truly appreciate that they thought about moms like me...huge thank you ??

I'll keep going since it helps me balance my life as an employee and mom and the best way to feel like I'm in control.
The girls who help are so knowledgeable and they will always make sure you are hitting in the proper way so you don't hurt yourself.

I never thought coming here for 30 minutes would make me feel happy because I know I'm doing something useful and effective rather than showing up at a gym for like 2 h and feeling like I'm forced to go.

This place is women only and it makes me feel like I'm not alone and that, it's ok not to be ok at the same time that I have the option to hit and release my anger in the most helpful and not hurtful way.

“Had a great experience here at OTF North Burnaby for about 2 years! Very friendly staff and professional coaches. Coach Brittney, Tom and Syd are the best. It’s a bit hectic to secure a spot on Strength classes but definitely worth it. This place is great for ppl who need motivation and they want a general program ready for them. Clean environment and usually good music! Although it’s on the pricy side, I’ll recommend it to friends who want to get started and make regular exercises as part of their routine.”

The top notch instruction I have received from people like Kirk and Bob has made it feel like a one on one session, but in a class setting. With the type of drills and exercises we do, I can literally feel myself improving in real time. They really focus on the specificity of each drill/technique and it makes for a solid foundation to build upon. The great thing is, there are people of all levels in the class and there is always something to learn from each partner. I love coming to class. “Awesome fitness gym really old school it's got the smaller type bars that fit in your hands amazingly you're stronger and it hits the belly of the muscle better than the fat ones are making now that work mostly a forearms in your grip strength I hate new school love old school yeah it's not crowded tons of machinery tons of machines tons of weights up to 150 lb dumbbells and clean everything is cool there man people are nice if you ever want to get a killer workout come to optimal fitness it's the best gym in the city by far I actually come all the way from freaking downtown”

“I ateppednon a scale in November of 2023 and was at a staggering 275! I was so nervous to walk into a gym and not know how or where to start. CBC Crossfit made this experience fantastic from the start through to the end! I had some really great conversations about my worries and the staff were excellent at providing what I needed! (I was really worried about getting hurt) I took on their 6 week challenge which has a meal plan and nutrition guide, and was at the gym mostly 4 days a week( I was working from out of town so there were some gaps in my schedule). I was able to make a great lifestyle change in my diet and the encouragement not only from the staff but all the others in the class was exactly what I needed! I'm only moving on because it's time for me to start the next project and will not be returning to the lower mainland any time soon. When I'm back I'll definitely return here and continue!

I'm down 35lbs (from middle of November 2023 to the middle of February 2024) and feel better and stronger than I have in the last 5 years!!!
