“We've been going to this butcher since the change of ownership. Both gentleman provide excellent service and are really friendly. They provide great advice on selecting cuts and how to prepare and cook them. From excellent ham for Easter dinner to summer BBQ steaks, it's my first stop. My favourites are the Lamb Kefte as well as various cuts of steaks.
They are part of our community as we always have a chat when I go to stock up with meat and groceries.
Had a tenderloin steak tonight which was perfect. Kudos to the chef too of course ;)”
“It's always a great idea to go to Alexander's store for sweets from Eastern Europe. A wide selection: from seasonings, marshmallows to herring, dumplings and cheesecakes. Adequate prices, the store is open until 7 pm. If you are interested in the availability of certain goods, you can clarify any details by phone or in messenger. I can advise everyone! And the vinegar-free pickles are the best in Vancouver!”

“This is a new Asian oriented supermarket, but it has a good selection of international flavors. Their black truffle flavor potato chips are addictive. I love the taro cake in a cup..a must try. Staff are super friendly, and the store is well maintained. Chinese style 'burger' is something you must try. The imperial concubine mangoes from Hainan Island are super delicious. The taste is very similar to Taiwan's native mango. The flesh is very thin. The most amazing thing is its core...a thin slice.Black truffle potato chips... I became addicted to eating them, and I wanted to take a box home several times... hahahaIn addition, the taro box cake is very thin and has a lot of taro paste. You can eat the taro, but it is definitely not made from flour. You can consider making taro birthday cake, it will definitely be a hot seller.Personally, I feel that the variety and quantity of fruits and vegetables in the early Yuan Dynasty may not be as good as those in T&T, but the quality is good. You get what you pay for, I think it's worth it. “Customer service was excellent, but unfortunately their items are sooooo expensive. I got 2 little bags 1 scoop in each bag and it was 51 Dollars. I was not prepared for that. I know I could have just refused but felt bad that I did not get her to weigh first to find out how much it would have been. I would suggest to do this first if your on a budget. The quality is great, no issues there, just way to expensive.”

“Small store with lots of Japanese goods. A wide selection of natto and snacks. Tried one of the pre-packaged meals, cucumber crab sushi and ume onigiri, and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely worth the visit.”
“This is a great little grocery store for the neighborhood. The owner lady seems grumpy and rude (just throws the receipt at you, and grunts). I hope the staff there are getting treated nicer that how she treats customers. All other staff are great. The prices are pretty decent. Everything seems to be 'marked down', but some products are not really a deal, so you gotta do your due diligence. Also, make sure to check the best before date as they have quite a few products that are past the bb date and they sell it anyway.”

“You can find necessary products there. Cashiers are usually helpful. But I received bad advice twice from a young man who seems to be the owner or manager. I asked if the bread was fresh, and he said it was made an hour ago. I bought a lot of it, but when I opened the bag at home, it was clearly at least a day old. The same thing happened with another item with the same guy.”

“Despite being in a fairly busy plaza it’s quite easy to find parking. Store is clean, produce and baked goods are always fresh! I love the premade croissant sandwiches — I wish there was a self serve coffee bar and seating area so I can enjoy a fresh muffin & coffee before or after doing some shopping.”

“Been wanting to go back every time I pass by but just didn't get the chance. Finally went back the other day for main courses and they had a special that day. Different cook and cashier but same friendly service. The meat were tender and rice were cook to perfection. Not soggy and not undercooked. Great portion and the ingredients are fresh. I'm a big eater and I don't usually get full with 1 main course and some appetizers to share, but with their main course alone, I was actually full and had a few bites left that I couldn't finish so my partner had to finish it for me. I think this is one of my favourite halal restaurant in general, and that says a lot because I've had a lot of halal food in vancouver, Cali, NYC, and Taiwan. I still highly recommend everyone to try as it's a hidden gem. Market is very nice too. Had a friend that used to work there but the ownership changed. When my friend had some issues with the previous boss, this new one was very kind to offer some help. Good place, good food, and good people!”

“This is my go to market for fruits and vegetables and also fresh cut flowers. Prices are very reasonable, produce is fresh or at a discount. Discounted items are still in good condition. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is a nice little family run store that is very clean and you can tell the owners take pride in their store. The fresh cut flowers are also in very good condition and last a long time! I love this place.”
“My Plant Curious plant based deals book had a couple of coupons for Living Tree Foods in New Westminster so I used those coupons and treated myself to a mini shopping spree at Living Tree Foods!They're a small retail store and everything that they sell is plant based. I came home with plant based versions of chicken wings, crab cakes, bagel thins, smoked salmon, cream cheese, ravioli, and chicken pot pie.My husband and I feasted on the Breathe Kitchen Chick'n Pot Vegan Pie, as well as the Living Tree Foods fish free smoked salmon and dairy free cream cheese spread on top of O'Doughs bagel thins for dinner that very same night, and while the food may look quite simple, it was all soooooooooo good! Our Ninja Foodi machine made the prep work super easy too as I was able to cook the Chick'n Pot Vegan Pie in only 20 minutes, instead of 40 minutes as was mentioned on the instructions. Really looking forward to trying out the rest of the goods that I brought home.They've got all sorts of cool foods at their store. I was quite tempted by the Mac n Cheez with Bacon bits pie, the Cheezburger pie, and the Tiramisu. “I usually don't go here but today I did and was very happy. I will return here for all my Indian spices/foods. I was very impressed with the friendly service. It was very busy but that means people want to shop here!! The cashiers were very busy but still friendly and polite enough to answer questions. I was thrilled to find certain foods from the tropics that I had not seen in Canada before and the fruits and vegetables were fresh. I was also impressed with one of the workers who took the time to explain what certain fruits were and checked the names to make sure it was the same item I was asking for (some fruits/veg have different names according to where in the world you come from). I loved the variety in this store. Will definitely be going back here from now on. I also like the location. You can find parking in front or on the side street.”
