I have known Anthony for over 20 years, and have been training with him remotely for the last 4, specifically to rehabilitate my knees. Through EB he provides a focused approach that targets your sports and movement goals, while also offering services that address your general wellness. He knows the right time to challenge you to go further but also takes feedback to adjust programs in order to suit your schedule and motivation levels. If you are serious about your movement and fitness goals, an EB program is a must.

Coming off of an intensive rehab program for a knee injury and following my orthopaedic surgeon’s advice to find a strength coach to help me get back to my normal and avoid surgery I found Engineered Bodies through a Google search for strength training programs in my local area, Port Moody.
I spoke to multiple trainers and coaches at a variety of facilities in the area. What struck me about Anthony was his empathy and understanding of my situation and goals. He related his personal experience with similar injuries and I felt heard and understood. From that initial consult he began building a plan to get me back on track.
I have had some previous training experience with some sport specific programs but never any real one on one coaching. The first few sessions felt like I was a bit out of place, but Anthony’s enthusiasm, energy and especially his patience as I became comfortable in the gym kept me motivated and excited for my next session. I was also struck by how supportive and friendly the other members at the gym were. There’s a real community vibe when I’m there.
I work a physical job, and enjoy mountain biking and skiing. Activities that caused me pain and discomfort previously at work I can now do for extended periods of time with no issue. Biking and skiing I have more strength and power than I can remember. I was considering life without skiing and biking in January, now I’m feeling more confident in my physical ability when out having fun.
A big thank you to Anthony for mentoring me through my training adventure. My body feels great and I feel stronger and more confident.

Anthony is my best fitness coach! Within two months I felt relief from years of sciatic nerve pain and my muscle strength increased. Before coming to engineered bodies I felt that I was getting old and my muscles and joints felt tight. However, now I feel young and healthy, and my joints feel much better. While training he not only helps me with my form but he also educates me and explains the benefits and reasoning for doing that movement.
Anthony started from the basics and used different methods to help my fitness improve.
I joined this gym more than one year ago and planning to continue for many more years.
I would highly recommend Engineered Bodies to anyone cares about their health and wellness.

I picked up strength training as a hobby during covid, but my self-taught regimen wasn't doing any favors for my back. I decided to find a coach who could help me safely correct my form and technique. Through an initial consultation meeting and a series of 1:1 assessments, Anthony was quick to identify my strengths, weaknesses, and long-term goals. I started the olympic weightlifting program under his guidance, and have been training with him and the other coaches for several months now. Even in this short amount of time, I can tell it has made a huge difference in reducing my back pain, improved my overall stability and posture, and given me a fun way to stay active and fit.
What I appreciate about EB is the flexibility and ease of scheduling, the functional and varied programming, and the appropriately sized group sessions that allow for properly supervised training. The positive energy in the gym is infectious and everyone is incredibly supportive of each other, from newbie to veteran. Equipment and space are in abundance, and Anthony's knowledgeable team are friendly and approachable. You'd be hard-pressed to find another gym like this anywhere else!

Engineered Bodies has made an incredible difference in all aspects of our son's life. He has gained so much more than just physical strength. We quickly observed benefits outside of the gym with remarkable progress in his learning, social skills, and overall confidence. I joined EB in November 2023, and I am thrilled that I did. Previously, sticking to a gym routine was challenging for me due to finding regular gyms boring and unfriendly. EB, however, is the complete opposite. The coaches tailor and adapt the exercises to suit individual needs. The fellow participants in my weightlifting program are incredibly friendly and supportive. Even on days when I feel tired and reluctant to work out, I remind myself that I'll enjoy my time at the gym because I genuinely do. Since joining, I've noticed significant improvements in my strength, which has had a profound impact on my mental health and overall energy levels. The owners are caring individuals who strive to create a welcoming environment. I cannot recommend EB, its coaches, and its community enough to anyone seeking a positive fitness experience!

I’ve been attending Engineered Bodies for a solid six months and can confidently say that this establishment is a gem in the Tri-Cities. EB is not just a gym, it’s a community that fosters growth and camaraderie, motivating everyone to excel in their own fitness journey. Anthony, Sara, and Shervin are knowledgeable coaches who take the time to understand your individual goals and limitations, promoting progress without compromising safety. They’re also great at engaging with clients and providing the energy and encouragement to motivate you even on those days when life seems too busy or hectic to go to the gym.
I joined EB’s Functional Fitness program as a seasoned athlete and competed in my first Community Throwdown this past November. It was a blast working out with other EB members and athletes from local gyms. Looking to improve my olympic lifts, I switched over to the weightlifting program at the beginning of January and have already hit new personal bests while gaining a newfound confidence performing snatches and power jerks. EB’s commitment to injury prevention is also evident with its emphasis on proper warm-up and movement technqiues, and giving you easy ways to incorporate mobility training throughout the day so you can perform your best in the gym.

Just wrapped up my first few months at Engineered Bodies, and I’m compelled to share my experience. This isn’t just a gym; it’s a game-changer.
Knowledgeable Coaches: Every coach here is a treasure trove of fitness knowledge. They’re not just going through the motions; Anthony, Sarah, and Shervin live and breathe what they teach.
Authenticity: This gym is the real deal. They are not trying to sell you their programs using latest internet buzzword hits or virtue signalling unauthentic motivational speeches on Instagram. The coaches and members are authentic, making you feel welcome and valued from day one.
Community Spirit: The sense of community here is incredible. My classmates aren’t just workout buddies; they’re motivators, supporters, and friends.
Dynamic and Customized Programs: The programs are dynamic and tailored by experienced coaches. I've seen significant improvements in my weightlifting thanks to this program.

I joined EB in September and never looked back. The trainers are so supportive. The programming is consistent and periodized. The members are so amazing ! I love how organized and motivating the workouts are. It feels like a family. My son even joined the youth weightlifting program and he is hooked ! Not only that, but we have already seen huge improvements in his basketball after he began strength training. I strongly recommend Engineered Bodies to anyone serious about their health and wellness !

I first joined Engineer Bodies when I was 17, I decided to go after both my brother and mom recommended it. I have always been intimidated by gyms and have struggled with anxiety around sports/working out my whole life. In the first few weeks i was worried about dropping out but the easy programs and friendly coaches/people have kept me going for over a year :)
All the programs are easy to follow and made to help you reach your goals or accommodate your needs. A couple months after joining I was introduced to weightlifting, I had no prior knowledge and started from the very bottom with a plastic bar, and watching myself go up slowly in weights has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
One of my most favourite things though is the EB community. Everyone interaction I have here has been a positive one, I have never felt judged or unwelcome. The gym has become such a safe place to be in, something I could never have imaged before going here.
I have recommend this gym to anyone I have met and will continue to recommend it. I have never enjoyed working out before but going here has me looking forward to the next session!

I first joined Engineered Bodies through their kickstart program, where I was interested in learning new exercises I could do at the gym. I had never learned any weightlifting techniques beyond going to public gyms or exercise classes and had felt intimidated by some gym atmospheres.
This is not the case at EB! The coaches made me feel so welcomed as a new person and really took the time (and continue to take the time) to teach me proper technique. I appreciate that Anthony, Sara, and EB coaches care about the quality of movement and are highly knowledgeable. They can scale movements to meet you where you’re at.
I’m now enrolled in the Functional Fitness program and in one year, I've been able to create a consistent gym habit and reach goals I thought were never going to be possible (like chin-ups!). It has added a positive change to my work from home routine, and it’s a welcoming community that I’m happy to be a part of. Bonus: Anthony teaches a handstand class on Saturdays that is really fun! I would highly recommend checking Engineered Bodies out!

I’d already been working out by myself before visiting EB, but I wasn’t sure what I was doing and things were getting repetitive and boring for me. My mom suggested I go visit Anthony and it was one of the best decisions I’d ever made.
We started with getting the basics down and slowly started progressing into advanced techniques. My progress accelerated exponentially with Anthony. When I started I couldn’t touch a 10 foot rim, now a couple years later I can pretty much dunk.
Anthony has taught me many things about jumping and lifting and I feel much more educated on the subject. I know that I will be able to use what he’s taught me for the rest of my life. I would recommend EB to anyone looking to learn more about jumping, lifting and fitness in general.
