These guys checked the box to sign me up for device protection (a paid monthly service). They claimed I wouldn't be charged unless I opted in by text after 6 months. 6 months later I started receiving monthly charges for the "likewize" service. It doesn't seem possible to cancel online either. I returned to The Mobile shop, waited 40+ minutes to talk to someone and they took care of the situation by providing me the customer support phone number for "likewize" (the service they signed me up for). Calling the cancellation phone number doesn't actually provide any cancellation options but you can cancel if you get through to a human.Pretty Scammy practices both by The Mobile Shop and by Likewize. I do NOT recommend you let them sign you up for this service no matter what they tell you about opting in or out. They'll start billing you and make it very difficult to cancel.
