112-1151 Mt Seymour Rd, North Vancouver“Absolutely love this place. My only regret is not going sooner. Delicious meats, great selection, very reasonably priced, super helpful staff. Always going above and beyond with rock solid recommendations. Left last time with a few bones for some beef bone broth (added tomato paste in pic). Turned out incredible.”
“This place is the bomb ??. High quality meats, super friendly and welcoming staff, very clean and organized atmosphere, just a solid 10/10 experience. Brad your dope, Freddie your dope, and new guy with no name tag yet, we love you to. Highly recommend this butcher shop, if your looking for the good stuff, this is where you go.
You'll be seeing lots more of us here! Thank you for the awesome service and quality food ❤️.”
“Great little local shop with an assortment of meats, food, snacks, drinks, and candies from the UK.
Staff are friendly. I’ve asked numerous times for their help about how much of whatever item from the meat section would be enough for X number of people, they’re always spot-on with their estimate.
I was first introduced to The British Butcher by a friend many years ago, she raved about their sausages, which I agree, are significantly less oily and better than most sausages. They offer a variety of flavors and meats, you name it, they probably have it. Sundried Tomato is especially good, in my opinion.
Maui Ribs from here are tasty, and not quite as pricy as big-box grocers, so why not support this small business instead?
I wasn’t a big fan of the Back Bacon, but that’s nothing against the store. I rarely eat Back Bacon, I got it for a brunch I’d hosted, and friends thoroughly enjoyed it.
Their meat pies are good, loaded with filling, and a light flaky crust. They’re reasonably priced for the portion (e.g. two of us, who have smaller appetites, share one individual size). It’s helpful to keep one in the freezer for the days you don’t feel like cooking, but want a better alternative to takeout. These are way better and healthier than generic frozen meat pies.
Thanks for the years of great food, British Butcher - keep up the great work!”
“I drive out from downtown Vancouver regularly to pick up their in-store jerky. Regardless of bridge traffic, it’s still worth it. No nitrates or preservatives. Simple and locally made. Just how it should be!”
“Went in for chicken and came out with two flavours of chicken skewers and their house pulled pork. The skewers were so delicious !! We got Malaysian and Greek. The pulled pork we had a couple of days later and honestly the flavour can't even be described, we were floored! It was too good! So happy we bought two packages with plans on homemade pulled pork poutine. Definitely plan on going back for more. Cheers!”
