I went to grocery shopping, there are only 3 bags of cake pastry flour left on shelf. It's 20% higher than Loblaws.ca. I also noticed that other products with same brand (all purpose flours, bread flour, pizza flour) are match the Loblaws.ca. Is store adjust the tag according to the availability?

This review is about the City Market meat department and customer service only. (North Vancouver)
I have shopped there often and come across a few bad interactions with their meat department. They are unaccommodating, at times rude, and definitely not welcoming at all. Although they claim to be a butchers. Do not look at them as a butcher shop. Just shop off the shelf. Even at that, be very careful. I once bought some steaks on special and they were rotten.
I have had no adverse experiences with the other departments.

Most of the products are fresh and staffs are very helpful.
Update after almost 5 years:
Even one star is too generous. They’ve started charging for parking, but there’s no sign next to the payment station indicating that the first 45 minutes are free. If you use the QR code, you're required to pay, and the store won’t redeem it. This is such a cheap tactic. The customer service is incredibly rude—they accused the customer of missing a sign that doesn’t even exist, and then took a picture to try and prove them wrong. I’m so disappointed in this store and its staff's behavior. I will never shop here again. I’d rather shop at Whole Foods, where at least the staff, despite their attitude, are more professional.

Mathieu is the best. I literally come to this grocery store so I can go to his checkout lane, such a nice vibrant soul. Loblaws, give this man some recognition.

I like shopping at this place. The staff are very friendly especially Alex on the till. I was observing him helping a senior with her shopping and when it was my turn he also volunteered if he can bag my purchases which I happily declined as I am able to do it myself. I must say all of the employees of Loblaws has been friendly. Maybe the rude staff of the neighboring whole foods market can take notes from lablows staff how to be polite and take lessons in effective costumer service and that includes their manager.

I just wanted to take a moment and give a review for my favourite baker Feri at the lonsdale lob laws. She’s so thoughtful and lovely to work with. She just made my sisters double stack baby shower cake and it was a show stopper. I adore her and she has made my experience with this location really stand out. I will cont to go to her for all my cakes!!! Highly recommend her!

I’ve been shopping on and off here for about 3 years. I have a zero tolerance for racism and vote with my dollars so this store quickly stopped being my goto store after I observed a pattern of poor, unfriendly service from some of the checkout staff who appeared to provide better service to less pigmented shoppers. On a few occasions, when it was simply too inconvenient to go elsewhere, I would shop here and to avoid the checkout staff, I would choose to use the self-checkout facility. Yesterday, while self checking out, the checkout staff member approached my wife and I and questioned the quantity of milk I was buying and proceeded to hover behind me to ensure I scanned each carton. It felt uncomfortable and humiliating to be scrutinized so overtly as if you are a criminal for being brown, while doing mundane shopping.
I am done with this store and they are not getting one more of the thousands of dollars I’ve spent here.
Hire better or lose customers. ZERO tolerance for racism.
The save-on-foods at Park & Tilford have upped their game and their checkout staff have been amazing so far…so no PC points for guessing which is my goto store.

I bought cheeses here for a long time, but in the last 3 month they are very often moldy and the management does not seam to care.

Service at this store needs work, I went to the deli and they were too busy to serve me.
Stood there and couldn't get service. I haven't had great experiences here, multiple times, and probably won't be coming back. I will be going to save on or whole foods, as I've never had a problem getting service there.
This is reminiscent of the service provided at Sears in the past, where employees were too busy to help customers, I would suggest a revisit on priorities here.
I would recommend working on your customer experience if you're wondering why your customers are dissatisfied and going elsewhere.

The young lady with red hair named violet was extremely helpful with returning my re-called silk almond milk. Very efficient and understanding about my concern for the safety of recalled milk.

The store has underground/ground level parking for customers. The store is on the second level with stairs and escalator access. There is a Starbuck, a cake shop, bakery and hot/salad bar. Small carts are available and hand baskets for shoppers. Staff are friendly and helpful. always seems well stocked on essentials.

This review is more directed to the management. Please if you care about your customers put more staff in your hot food/salad area.
