I came across Can Tec while dealing with a seized brake caliper in North Van. They kindly accepted to fix my problem on the spot, even if it meant working after their business hours (on a Friday evening, I must specify!).They were very kind and accommodating, and the pricing was reasonable too. As a resident of Squamish, I will definitely be returning to get my car fixed there again. Thank you, Nick, and your team

I was recommended by a friend to come here. The mechanic was very kind and solved the misfire issue i had, they even picked us up from our house to come and get the vehicle once it was ready, which really helped us out as we had no ride to come and pick it up. The mechanic explained thoughly the misfire problem we had and our vehicle is now running the best it ever has been, my fuel mileage has even improved! I Would highly recommend this shop and I definitely will be coming back here in the future. Very honest and honourable people at Can Tec. Thank you!

We had our Safari towed in on a Friday afternoon- The boys got it sorted quickly and actually lifted the hood to show some what had been done, and some extra things they had found and fixed up. Very happy with their service and their personal approach ( they could use a dedicated person to man the phones though...) Rod

I had been a returning customer at Can-Tec Automotive for a few years, and needed the slave clutch cylinder fixed of my Volvo S40. Since this part is built in the transmission housing, Nic recommended to replace the full clutch to which I agreed. I was charged $2,371 for the repair, including cost for machining the dual-mass flywheel. After 8,000Km my transmission broke again and I had it towed to Can-Tec since I suspected a warranty issue. After 1 month of waiting, where Nic claimed that there was something wrong with the gearbox, I had the car fixed by a specialized transmission shop in Surrey. They re-did the exact same repair that was done by Can-Tec earlier and had to replace the flywheel, since they stated that dual-mass flywheels can’t be machined and caused the actual breakdown. This re-repair cost me another $3,400. After talking to Nic he refuses to take responsibility of the poor repair and is not willing to pay me any refund. I would not recommend Can-Tec Automotive, as they did a poor repair and leave me as customer to pay for the damages.

Honest and fair as you would want a service person to be. They are busy but that is to be expected when they are good. It is hard as a female not to feel that you have been taken to the cleaners - you will not feel this way here.

Best. Honest. Car services. I would trust Nik and Spiros with any vehicle. I gave my car to the dealership for oil change and rear break light. They told me it would be 165$ for the rear light as the whole system had to be changed. Took it to Nik he charged me $15 for everything. Couldn't believe it!!
