A good selection of underwear and swimwear in plus sizes. I left the store knowing my try bra size, which felt like a win, and purchased several items that I really like and hadn’t seen elsewhere. Very helpful staff.

I happened to walk into Above Average Lingerie after a Dentist appointment and was blown away with the service and selection of bras, clothing and bathing suits. I'm not a 'plus size' but do wear a bra size that is not found in traditional stores. Right from the start Debbie had great ideas about which bras would fit and brought several selections into the change room. Her knowledge on what a bra should look like and feel like was exceptional. I've purchased bras from Dianes Lingerie before but there is no need to cross the bridge anymore. My intention was to buy one new bra for a dress that needed a perfect bra but I walked out with 3! thank you Debbie(and Dawn) for making me feel comfortable and offering great suggestions. I didn't get a chance to browse the clothes but I'll be back.

Knowledgable and helpful owner and many Canadian made brands, ethical business. Amazing selection of bras and free fittings. Sale rack always has overlooked gems. Worth a trip to North Van.

Really great store. They have some lovely styles that are casual classics, cotton sweaters, organic t shirts, contemporary cuts in jeans. Have a big selection of underwear, especially bras, as well as sleepwear and swimsuits. Staff are very helpful. Highly recommend.

Everywhere I have gone I have had no luck finding any bras. They either don’t fit or are to small i’m always sized wrong at other stores but the moment I came to above average all the bras that had been picked out for me fit like a glove and fit perfectly there is no spillage there’s no gapping it is 100% perfect and I will shop no where else for bras. I will only shop here now! I really couldn’t be happier!

Wonderful little shop! My sister telephoned before we came and let them know the kinds of things we were looking for. When we arrived they had a great selection of suggestions for me and the staff was very friendly. Found exactly what I was looking for to wear to a special upcoming wedding.

In 30 minutes, I had 4 bras that all fit me better than anything I've ever owned before. I booked a bra fitting session, and after a tape measure used while I was still dressed, Dawn passed me bras to try on. She found the right size structure and cup size on the first try. I didn't realize it was possible to fit so snugly with no gaps, no sagging, no slipping. It's like realizing all your life you've been wearing shoes in the wrong size. I will never go again to a department store! Prices were from $70 to $170. Worth every penny to stand up straighter and feel ten years younger. Highly recommended.

This place is so nice for people who need lingerie plus sizes or non-"mainstream" sizing. They have a great selection but they can order something in if you need it. They're also always so patient, which is amazing when you have gained or lost weight and have no clue what fits you anymore! First place I've ever found a bra that would actually fully "tack" to my sternum like it should, so now I won't buy anywhere else. PLUS, the bras are STILL CUTE and great looking, AS WELL AS supportive!
