Brought my JDM car here for an inspection and oil change (Feb 2023). The car needed DRLs and a neutral safety switch. Ok fine... They did the DRLs on another import for me previously. 4 weeks and $1200 later, they never issued an inspection slip wouldn't fix what was required for inspection and I ended up brigning the car somewhere else.
They put in the DRL kit but said the headlight beam pattern was wrong and that I'd be blinding oncoming traffic. Trust me, no one is getting blinded by 30year old halogens, nonetheless I corrected the beam pattern myself (which they wouldn't do) but the mechanic wouldn't even look at the car and instead told me to go order new headlight housings...
The neutral switch they jimmy rigged in the engine bay was not weather proof and failed the first time it rained so my car wouldn't start if it was wet out. They also spliced power for that switch from my radiator temperature probe causing the radiator fan to be on continuously.
So not only did this cost me a month, and $1200, but my car came out less reliable and still no inspection slip. I brought it to Canadian Tire, Royal Oak, they checked it over and issued me an inspection slip the next day. I asked them about the headlights and they said they're fine but that I should consider getting new ones because the currents aren't very bright...

Very knowledgeable technicians and staff if you are bringing in a JDM car. They were accommodating of my hectic schedule and gave great feedback on the vehicle. The whole process was very transparent and explained clearly by Kailey (Kathy?).
They also have a nice selection of vehicles on their sales lot for those looking to buy.

Broke down half way to Victoria and these guys were on top of it right away, found the problem, made sure we were informed, got the parts in super fast & were extra patient with us double checking everything! So good!!

Went in for an oil change and when they gave me the vehicle back the traction control light was stuck on and all my brake lights where burnt out. It even said on the first receipt that these lights where burnt out, so they gave me a vehicle back that they knew was not road legal. I went back to get these issues addressed (which took them a whole day to change 4 lightbulbs) and they billed me for it even though these issues arose from them doing a simple oil change. I feel robbed and will not be going back to them. Terrible experience made me skeptical of every mechanic from now on.

I stumbled upon Gurton’s while on the island and needed a tire swap before hitting the highway through the Rockies. They were incredibly accommodating and did the swap right away to help me catch the ferry in time. Despite not having an appointment, they were happy to help me as a walk-in. I cannot thank the folks at Gurton’s enough. Wonderful, wonderful people!

Great guy's. Bought a truck from them couldn't have had a better experience. Went above and beyond to get me the vehicle I needed and were very helpful. No pressure just a lot of help. Will go back again when I need another car. 10 out of 10. 2023 update: Truck has been great. In the market for a used car and where do I look? The place I have had great experiences at Gurtons. Haven't bought yet but will update soon. Great shopping experience this time as well.

Big shout out to Gurton's Garage for everything they did for me yesterday. On my way to work my car started hesitating while driving so I drove straight to the garage and they looked at it right away, ordered the part and had it fixed in almost 2 hours. Ended up being the ignition coil. The mechanics, office staff and manager went above and beyond to help me out. It started out as a very upsetting and stressful situation to feeling total appreciation for their professionalism, very fast service, kindness and understanding.
