Awesome sushi disappeared...
Deli chicken is scary and waaay over cooked.
Chicken wings same flavour with added sauce to disguise and hide this fact. Usually drier than a popcorn fart. Coffee at 22.50 a pound..
Watch the cashier and receipts so you don't get ripped off , If I can find one. If I can't or there is a huge line I just leave .You waste my time I move on.
Other than that, it's just great..

This is a friendly advice to the manager: besides being a very good store, having nice people working on and always clean and organized it is the second time I feelt observed/judged while checking out my groceries.
Cashiers (specially from the night shift) need further training on what is appropriate to say to costumers and what isn't.
Two of the last times I was on this store I had an episode at checkout where the cashiers were noticing and commenting on what I was buying.
The first time, a women cashier noticed I bought a specific item and said I should get another one because it's better. (Which is okay, but still I would rather have them not notice what I'm getting or not).
The second time, which was totally inappropriate was the other cashier (man) commented that what I was buying is trash, not good and not healthy. Saying the food I'm buying is poison and he doesn't eat stuff like that (just to make clear it was a Western Family brand product). The only reason I didn't cancel my order was because it was already paid for. I felt like my purchase was being judged and felt like my personal choices were invaded. Specially because he also said that in front of other costumers.
I felt like I'm being judged on what I buy or not in this store and that cashiers don't understand personal space and what is acceptable or not to say to costumers. I'm no longer comfortable buying in this store and will be going to the 6th street store instead if I need to go to a save on foods.
Please invest in self checkout or training so cashiers know what's polite to say to people and what's not.

Pros: clean store, meat section employees are friendly and greet customers.
Cons: during the middle of the day there are only 1 or 2 tills open and lines build up fast, and there is usually no employee at customer service. I notice that with the lack of staff lately, the cashiers get easily stressed and are not as friendly as in prior years.
I wish they would install self checkout stations to shorten the wait time. I notice minimal lineup issues at the Save On locations with this, and the shopping experience is more smooth there.

It’s expensive as all Save On is now. It’s actually less expensive to go to Safeway. The location is convenient but I find I go there less and go to the Safeway at the New West station instead. Save-on produce is ridiculously priced. How can you sell a grapefruit for $2.99 when the local farmers market can sell for $.99?? Even milk and meat is cheaper at Safeway now.

I returned three empty bottles and asked for deposit, Margaret was on cash and gave me a little bit of attitude. I have been shopping there everyday since I moved to New West, unfortunately, every time I ask for price match or I return empty bottles staff don’t like it.

I've been shopping at Save-On-Foods for a while now as I live at Agnes Street and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The quality of their products is consistently excellent, and the taste is always great. I also appreciate their price match policy, which helps me get the best deals without any hassle.
I want to give a special shoutout to one of their cashiers, Mumtaz. She is always so patient and cheerful, making every visit a pleasure. Her kindness and helpful nature truly stand out and it's clear that she genuinely cares about her customers. Thank you, Save-On-Foods, for providing such a wonderful shopping experience!

I know where everything is. It's expensive. A convenient place where everything is all put together for you rather than having to go to a few different stores but you'll pay for it

They need to have Express Lanes for people like me. I usually buy 2 items. Sometimes 1. Sometimes 3. But I'm always an Express Customer.
I had to walk out several times recently because only 2 registers open, and a big line up at both.
C'mon Save-on. Get more clerks and have respect For Express Customers.
