Guide was well informed & engaging. Tour took about 45 minutes and for $5, it's worth seeing how things used to be done.

Must-go place, regardless you're local or tourist, The museum guide is every knowledgeable and nice & funny. After all, this little house bares a way magnificent story than you could imagine.
Open Wednesday - Sunday, tours @ 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm & 4:00pm. Last entry is 4:00pm. Built in 1865 for riverboat captain William Irving, it is interpreted to the late Victorian/early Edwardian era. Costumed guides give guests a personal tour of 14 fully furnished rooms. Written tours are available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Bengali, Mandarin, Japanese, Italian and Albanian. Admission is by donation.
