My mother used to come here to buy candle fuel before she moved away from Mission. The Gold Bin is a very unique gift shop. Despite the size of the space, this store contains many captivating items to buy, such as jewelry, clocks, mugs, and even wood-carved decor. The staff is also welcoming and courteous. Highly recommend this store.

Visited Robert for annual battery replacement and wrist pin replacement. As in the last 4 consecutive years everything was great. Cheers Robert and Staff.

Approached by a strange man at the door . Made me very uncomfortable and asked in the most condescending tone what I was looking for . Then announced it to everyone in the store what I told him. Treated me horrible and followed me around when I attempted to browse the limited selections of jewelry. Left with nothing because I refuse to give my hard earned dollars to people like this

I give 2 stars for friendly staff. Took in a couple watches and the batteries were changed no problem. wanted a few rings to be fixed and it wasn't worth it. The third watch i brought in was a unused in new condition but battery had died .They had it for over a month and I was given the run around 3 times that I went in to pick up. After i finally got it back without the battery change i realized the screws were so damaged by the place it can't be changed, now the watch is a expensive paper weight. Wont be going back or recommending to anyone.

Strange guy running a jewelry store with very limited "gold"jewelry, store is full of collectibles yet called gold bin which is quite deceiving, owner is fast to make derogatory remarks especially to women for no apparent reason, strange.

Bought a ring, it broke within 3 days. woudnt give a refund only a replacement, took 4 weeks, wasted time chasing up when the replacement would be ready, lied about leaving me voicemails. Was very rude and condescending to my wife multiple times. also weirdly interested in what i did for work.

Took my boyfriend's gold chain in on September 20th and Robert had just stepped out. The lady at the front said we could wait for him as he would only be gone a minute, leading us to think it was something he could fix while we waited. As it was a work day, we decided to go back to work, and she said she would call us back with an update, we received no call. On September 23rd I called in to see what was going on as I was concerned that I hadn't heard anything after three days, and they had given us no slip of paper or any service sheet what so ever for my $1000 chain that I brought in. At this point I had no idea if it was lost or they had given it to someone else by accident. I got Robert on the phone and asked him if we had any update. He spent a few minutes looking for the chain and then told me it was the lobster clasp would need to be replaced. (He hadn't even looked at it yet.) He proceeded to try and argue with me on what day I brought it in saying, I had only brought it in yesterday, even though he announced the date (Sept 20th) was the day we brought it in. I could not believe how rude he was being on the phone. He wanted $50 for the clasp and $30 to solder it on which is not a problem, but I said I would have to call him back. (I didn't like the way he was speaking to me.) I went in later to come pick it up as I decided I didn't want to give them the business anymore after the way he was talking to me over the phone, and again he wasn't in. The lady would not give me back my necklace until he came in. He finally strolled in and asked what was going on. I said I just wanted my necklace back and I'm going to get it fixed somewhere else. He proceeded to ask me why. I shouldn't have to give a reason, but I told him because my necklace has been here for three days now and nobody has given me an update. To which he says "oh, so you think 3 days is too long for you then?" in a sarcastic tone. He made me feel very uncomfortable and belittled. I went straight to Ryan Jewellers in Maple Ridge and they fixed it for me in under 10 minutes and for less too. Really too bad as my family has been taking our jewelry here for multiple generations. Really disappointing how it's gone downhill, and it seems as though he is in over his head. Will not be back.

I just found a most unique & personally meaningful piece of Art! A First Nations Pendant, carved beautifully, Titled ‘Sea Spirit’, a gorgeous piece mounted on a Silver Dollar coin from 1958 which depicts a Totem Pole. So thrilled my local jeweller had the Perfect Piece I was looking for! Well done the Gold Bin in Mission, BC! Such a unique collection of Treasures!
