Beautiful cats and lovely staff. You need two visits prior to adopting a cat, if you are driving far, they might be ok with one visit.

Adopted a cat recently, and they were very kind, knowledgeable, and do such fantastic work. I was impressed by the size of the enclosures for a shelter and their system in place to avoid any cross contamination for any more sensitive kitties. The care and work that was put into the semi feral that I adopted is so clear as well. I also very much appreciated that they do not take competing applications, so you aren't left waiting to find out if you were chosen while feeling very attached to the cat you have applied to adopt. Once you apply, throughout the entire process, no one else will apply.Absolutely recommend adopting through them and supporting them through donations so they can keep up the good work they do.

This organization is amazing, they have helped me out when times were tough, and money was tight. They are definitely super heroes to a lot of animals and people.

We brought our baby Maeve home 3 months ago and love her so much. They really take care in making sure the cats are going to a good home. If you’re expecting to come pick out a cat and bring it home the same day, it’s not going to happen. Time and care goes into making sure it’s a good fit - including follow up calls once your cat is home. We are so pleased with the fine work they do.They also sell supplies (carriers, cat trees, etc - by donation!)

The world needs places like these, to care for animals that have been abandoned or are strays. FVHS is a lovely place who care deeply for their kitties, and work hard to find forever homes. If you have spare time, you can go see the kitties too ?

Such a great experience! Adopted a cat from them. The whole team was so kind and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend adopting from them! There was so many cats to choose from!

We try to go visit every week. The cats are well loved and cared for. It always amazes me that it doesn't smell like cats. Their house cat 'Baby' is so sweet.
