I visited this branch of the SPCA a while ago when I was looking to adopt a cat.While I ended up adopting from another city shelter, I wanted to share my experience here as it was very positive. I had called before hand to gather some info and the staff I spoke with were polite & helpful.Upon visiting the shelter, I found it to be clean and the staff were friendly. What impressed me were the sizes of the rooms the cats were held in. Individual rooms were large, had all the necessities along with an outdoor catio for the cats to hang out.Do keep in mind that many animals are quickly adopted or spoken for by the time you visit, so keep your expectations accordingly and be patient and take your time with any adoption process.Information was clear, paperwork was easy to follow and all the staff I interacted with were friendly, professional and kind, especially the younger ladies at the front desk.Keep up the great work!

The staff were informative. Plenty of brochures available. I donated pet food which was accepted cheerfully. Parking not a problem.

Wow! What a place! The facility is beautiful but the ladies that I talked to were absolutely fantastic! I can not stress this enough. Went there to drop off my cat that had passed away and the compassion these ladies had for us during this extremely hard time was so incredibly nice. 2 days later, my family and I returned and adopted 2 kittens. They are super knowledgeable and made the process very easy, while ensuring we were a good fit to our 2 new additions to our family. I really wish I could give this place extra stars then just 5....And the ladies there deserve Atleast 10 stars... Each. Thank you again ladies ❤️ you all are truly unsung heroes in our community.

I adopted bunnies from here and they have all been well cared for and are happy and healthy. It's been a wonderful experience and the staff was very helpful and supportive.

The maple ridge spca is horrible..
My pet went missing on Halloween and within 24 hrs he was posted for adoption 5 years younger. Just recently a senior dog was found and they were going to post it up for adoption after 4 days. Not everyone has social media. The owner themselves could of been elsewhere or in the hospital. Putting pets for adoption right away is horrible
