I brought in a ring made by another Jeweller and got to deal with Ziggy. Her knowledge and experience was immediately evident and she was able to both help me with what I needed, and also help me redesign the ring to avoid future loose stones through gold smithing. Highly recommend Excel for their knowledge.

I bent a prong on my platinum engagement ring and took it to excel for a quote. They quoted me $600 to fix it. That seemed excessive so I took it to a second place who quoted me $75
Because of the big difference I ended up shipping it back to the original jeweller who made the ring 27 years ago. He charged me $75.
Excel jewellers jacked up the price and were obviously just trying to money grab. Luckily I’m not stupid enough to fall for that

Ziggy was amazing to work with! Very knowledgeable and actually listened to what I wanted. The other place I went to tried to push a larger stone when I told them I didn’t want it.

Do not get custom jewelry here!! They will give you price on how much it will cost. Take a month and mess up what you wanted and then triple the cost and try and keep your jewelery... Scam!

Sold some scrap gold and had a consult about putting some pieces on consignment. Ziggy is super knowledgeable, and realistic. I learned a lot during my visit and made a nice chunk of change on my scrap gold. Would 100% go back next time I dabble in jewelry :)

My fiancé and I are from Abbotsford but chose to take my ring to Excel in Langley after reading the good reviews online. We took my engagement ring to Excel about a month ago to have the prongs built up. When I got it back, I noticed that my oval stone was crooked and had clearly not been set properly. We brought it back the following week to be fixed, only to receive it back with the stone still clearly very crooked - this time straight within the prongs but very crooked on the band. We brought it back again and finally had it fixed correctly.
Within this process, I spent over a month without my ring, while also spending four weekends driving out to Langley to deal with my ring. We questioned how both times I received my ring back it had passed quality control to be returned to me. The service was fairly friendly, although did make comments about it being the users fault that the stone was crooked, after it was evident the day I picked it up that the stone hadn’t been set straight. There was also very little apology on their end for the inconvenience and lack of quality control. In the end, I’m happy it is fixed now but overall disappointed with this entire experience trusting Excel with my ring.

My experience at Excel Jewellers exceeded my expectations. The staff I interacted with were friendly and genuinely interested in the ring I brought in to get the claws built up even though the ring wasn’t bought there ( it was bought in Brazil, and the topaz had fallen out). My ring was repaired quicker than the time frame I was quoted and I am very happy with the level of professionalism of the staff and the customer service I received as well as the quality of the repair.

Bought a wedding set women’s engagement and wedding band as well as men’s wedding band.
Great service.
About 4 months after we bought it, we move a far way out of the area.
Unknown was that you had to have the rings taken in for adjustments or cleaning. Our understanding was this was just a perk that once a year you could have your jewellery cleaned for free. Our assumption was this was to be done in person.
LESS THAN A YEAR later a small diamond fell out of the engagement band. Upon contact at that time we explained we haven’t lived in the area for quite some time, they said we could “come in and have it fixed next time we were in the area.”
We explained we wouldn’t be there for quite sometime. They then said we could mail it in. (to me that seems like a very scary option as who knows what could happen)
So they again stated “whenever you come up, you’re welcome to stop by and have it repaired”
Now it’s been 1 years, 3 months and ANOTHER diamond has fallen out.
So we contacted them AGAIN. Any warranty including out extended was VOID because we moved out of the area and couldn’t have it looked at.
They then gave us the option to “send it to them and pay them to repair it”.
Why would we do that if we have to pay, better just to find a local dealer who not only STANDS BY THEIR PRODUCTS but also produces QUALITY.
I’ve had 3 engagement/diamond/jeweled rings before and certainly have never had to have them “tighten” or looked at every 6 months.
Would never recommend this company if you are looking for a company who stands by their products, wants to help their customers and produces quality.
I’ll always go back to peoples from here on out.

My fiance and I had a great experience with Ziggy! She really helped us narrow down what we were looking for while being extremely informative on the entirety of the ring / ring making process, cuts of stones, styles, metals.. She cared about our budget and had us feeling no stress. We were excited to go back and have her match up some wedding bands for us.
