We highly recommend Sue and her business, The Wholesome Hound, in Langford, BC. We were trying to find a local supplier for a supplement recommended by our vet for our dog. We were fortunate to find The Wholesome Hound online, and Sue has been able to provide the product promptly at a lower price than all other suppliers we found.
Sue provides great customer service, including adjusting her invoices to help meet requirements for pet insurance coverage. She has even talked with us outside of her normal business hours, and is a most pleasant and helpful person. Our experience has been extremely positive.

I just stopped in this little shop to pick up a small package of raw food for my dog. Visiting a friend and forgot her food at home so found this little gem of a store! The owner is wonderful and very helpful...I've never experienced such kindness

The Wholesome Hound is wonderful! I only just discovered it, but it will be my go to now for supplies for my dog. From kibble and treats to raw food, supplements and supplies, everything is healthy and top quality.
Sue is so knowledgeable and caring. She has helped me tremendously while working through my dog's food intolerances. I highly recommend you check it out! Supporting local small businesses is so rewarding.

Our Mandi has been going to Sue of Wholesome Hounds for almost two years and she is awesome! She is patient, kind, knowledgeable about her products, and so compassionate. We buy our dog food and treats from there also! It’s a one stop shop for us. We definitely recommend Sue and Wholesome Hounds to everyone!

This by far the best dog food supplier I have found in Victoria. Owner is very kind and she treats my family as if we're part of hers.She can custom order any food you want, has a good selection of frozen and freeze dried raw food/toppers in stock as well as a variety of treats, and provides good nutrition advise when needed. Provides grooming services in shop if you want it.If I could give Sue more than 5 stars I would. I 100 percent support this locally owned and operated business.Thank you for your hard work Sue!

Ziggy is definitely a challenge as he struggles greatly with any face grooming. Sue handles him with such love ❤️ and care and always takes it to his limitations only! On the recommendations by 2 different individuals, I took my little Havanese to The Wholesome Hound for grooming by Sue.Very satisfied. Will be going back, for sure!Was also pleasantly surprised to see they support local, BC and Canadian made dog food products.This will be my “go too” store from now on for my little pup.5 paws?

Wholesome hound is a local woman run business in central Langford. Sue did an amazing job on my girl Doja’s coat! She’s very knowledgeable about the different coat types (Doja being a doubled coated breed), how to care for and not damage them. She’s was kind and gentle with my nervous pup. She also knows a lot about nutrition and her shop is filled with healthy goodies for your four legged family which includes raw food and supplements. I’ve never seen my girl’s coat so bouncy and shiny! I won’t go anywhere else from now on.

We are very pleased and happy with our experience at the Wholesome Hound.Our poodle is so handsome and we get a lot of praises for the quality of the grooming.Sue is a gentle soul that is devoted to her passion. You can really feel that she would go great length to take care of your pet and keep them happy. She is personable and warms your heart instantly. Our sheltie puppy that we are babysitting, needed a grooming, Sue did a wonderful job, especially with this being a very first grooming, the puppy looks sleek, tidy, and so well groomed, and no trauma.! She was bouncing around in the shop with not a care in the world when I came to pick her up! Thanks Sue, we’ll be back!
