“Best bad experience I have ever had. FIVE (5) STARS. Was looking for a new microwave and decided that because we cannot buy a black microwave any more we would upgrade the fridge and stove (gas) as well. Went to City Furniture and the sales guy was amazing. He knew his stuff. We had looked at some other stores before and the sales people could only tell us what was written on the product tag. While at City Furniture the sales guy was friendly personable and knew what he was talking about. We would ask a question and I half expected him to have to look up an answer but he had all the answers on the spot. We found the fridge stove and microwave we wanted and were able to take the microwave and stove home same day, and the fridge was to be in, in 10-14 days. Got home and got microwave installed (over stove type) and slid the stove in. Turned on the stove to let it run and burn off any thing inside and the whole time it was running it was making the worst high pitch wine from the cooling fan for the circuit board. Wife started to google the issue and it turns out that this is a known issue with some brands of gas stoves and it really depends on the person’s if they can hear it. Anyway, ended up going back up the next day and talking to the sales guy with a recording of the noise and he took the stove back no questions asked. Just said no worries we will order a new one in and it will be here with the fridge. Great we were hoping it was just a defect with this one’s fan. Fast forward 10-14 days later and the new stove and fridge are in. Ask if I can plug in the new stove at the store and listen to it first. No problem, plug it in and I can hear a faint wine but nothing like before. Load it in truck and take it home. Get it home set up, turn it on, and the wine is still there and definitely louder then what I heard in the store. I think the store was just nosier than my house with people and music. So same thing load the stove back in the truck and take it back up the next day. This is where City Furniture really stepped up. They took the second stove back no issues and gave a full refund no questions asked. They first offered store credit but my wife and I are really worried about all gas stoves doing this now because of what she read on line so we wanted to just return it. I am really appreciative of this. They did what is right and took back a defective product. It is one thing for a store to have good service when everything goes right but to have a store keep up with that good service when something goes wrong is above and beyond. I cannot fault them for the product being faulty, but stepping up and taking care of it is really going above and beyond.
Going forward the wife and I are going to do our research and hopefully find a stove brand that is a lot quieter (I have already listened to a couple of friends stoves and they do not do this), and the sales guy has already said he can order them in and let us listen to things in the store. Will definitely be back to keep shopping for that new stove.
I had also bought furniture and appliances from here 4 times prior to this and never had an issue.

“The buying experience in store was great. Service was too notch, no complaints. The set up in my home was also really good and efficient. My only issue with the entire experience was the delivery was over two hours past the three hour window I was given. I fully understand that unforseen circumstances can arise however when this happens, communication is important and that didn't happen. I could not get any answers on the chat system online or on the phone to the store. I should have received a call when it was apparent that my delivery and set up was going to be late but I had to initiate the communication when it was already close to an hour past the delivery window and at that time was given no clear answers as to when the delivery and set up would be made. Product looks great though.”
