I have lived here for 26 years and walked to tropical on a daily basis. My family and I have shopped there for 26 years... But I went there yesterday and everything was on the wrong side of ripe. The peppers, the jalapenos the fruit everything was wrinkled and raisining. I'm super unhappy as I love to promote the small businesses and keep them alive and I did so during covid a lot. We buy our Christmas turkeys there, our ham for Thanksgiving and Easter... I'm very disappointed and I hope this changes because they will not survive with product that is beyond expiry but I would like to see them survive because they are a cornerstone of our neighborhood... The butcher is expensive but the meat has always been Divine. But I'm not sure if I trust it. If they can let everything else go bad right before your eyes.

Even if it doesn't have as big of a selection as bigger chain grocery stores, I find myself coming here much more often. It's close to home and the staff is friendly. The quality of the meat is really good, and their produce section usually has a good selection. They have all the basics that I regularly need.One time I came in looking for dried chives, the manager or owner (I assume) came over and offered to help me look. When he realized that they did not stock chives, he ordered some on the spot. And now they should be stocking chives! It is nice to have that kind of local connection you wouldn't find at bigger stores.

I have never seen produce so rotten!Looked fine on the outside, but was completely putrid inside when I cut into it. Smelled horrible, and was watery.I will never shop there again!

My neighbourhood grocery store, I shop here often. Tandoori meat is so good! The place could be a little cleaner and better organized but customer service is amazing!
