I am looking to change from cable to streaming and need to purchase a smart TV and streaming device. Jared (primary contact) is very knowledgeable in all of the products while other Jared (shadowing) was listening and learning. They are both valuable assets to your business. I came away with a lot to think about!

Drove 75 km to the Courtenay location to purchase an item noted on the website to be ‘in stock’, only to be told on arrival it is out of stock.

We were in need of new cell phones badly. We needed the best deals lowest prices possible and hopefully get a good phone. We got just that. The customer service at this best buy is above par. Our service rep was Cam. He was funny, outgoing, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what would be best for our family. He stayed to help us even after his shift had ended and made sure we had everything we needed before he left. I highly recommend this best buy branch. Everyone there is so helpful, knowledgeable and patient to all the customers needs. Thanks again Cam we enjoyed meeting you and will be back whenever we need an upgrade or other services.

I can clearly understand all the bad reviews regarding this store! I tried calling them to see if I purchased a portable dishwasher in the Courtenay store, would it be delivered free of charge to Campbell River, but the phone number listed isn’t for that store, it’s just a call center for all of Canada. When I spoke to the call center they just said they didn’t know, I’d have to drive to Courtenay, pick one out and call them back with the SKU # for them to tell me if delivery was free (as if I couldn’t ask the sales person in the store whilst already there)! I then asked for that specific store’s local phone # (there isn’t one listed online, ANYWHERE), so I could call them directly and the call center said they don’’t have their stores individual phone #’s, in other words, I would have to take my disabled MS rear end for an unnecessary 1.5 hr drive in the summer heat to ask a simple question that will determine if I should buy my cheaper priced appliance from them (but have to pay extra for delivery) or pay a much higher priced one locally and get free delivery! If this is how difficult it is to just try (and fail) to get pertinent info for a possible purchase, I can only imagine the difficulty they would throw their customer’s way when the item broke down and a warranty needed to be honoured! Best Buy is now permanently off my list when it comes to where I’ll shop for appliances and electronics! ?

Order parts online from here! The shipping is super fast, and they have free delivery. Amazon will quote you 2-3 weeks out, but best buy will deliver within 2-4 days.
Just watch out for the marketplace sellers

Never buy online from Best Buy. It was the most HORRIBLE experience of my shopping life. A simple address change is impossible to fix, everyone you speak to tells you something different and no one cares that you're unhappy.
Three weeks after canceling our order, our VISA still has not been refunded. I will never enter the store or buy online from this store again. Worst customer experience I have ever had. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!

Best service from these guys Jared Paton and the manager help us with some open box appliances and we had commented they were going to Nova Scotia in the back of a uhaul and when they arrived at the storage locker for our move they had bubble wrapped and skip wrapped all 5 their journey east.Thanks guys made our job a whole lot easier!

First, the employees are great. This post is for the management team and their automated phone and text systems. I expect they work ok if you have a membership. If you do not, you're dead to them. Tried to book an in home geek visit. Chat couldn't deal w it. Phone told me I needed a membership. Can't phone the store. Finally I lied to the phone and got a person (?!) who transferred me on. Success although it didn't feel like it. And then horrors, the problem was fixed by a volunteer and I had to cancel the call, which was about 2 weeks away. Chat tried as hard as they could to get my membership number. Until suddenly the Chat disappeared. Hmmm. Then tried the phone, which it turns out doesn't understand 4 letter words. And I tried out a lot of them. Not proud of that loss of control but it felt good. So I drove across town to the store. Geek guy was a bit busy and handed a card to another fellow trying to help. Kind of fun watching his eyes bulge when I told him I wasn't going to ever phone or chat w best buy again. He called a manager who took down the details to cancel. What are the odds the tech calls me on the day? Again, staff are great. Management, you need to fix your phone automation and do some training of non membership chats

Best Buy Courtenay has great staff and excellent deals. I bought and had a brand new Samsung Pro 980 2TB Nvme SSD installed in my high end laptop by the Geek Squad (Got the SSD for 50% off in - store, and their install was convenient, quick, & flawless), and also bought & had PanzerGlass screen & camera lens protectors installed on my new Samsung S24+ in - store. Their pricing and installs on said screen protectors were outstanding as well.I couldn't be happier. THANK YOU and keep up the good work B.B. Courtenay! ??
