Buyers beware! We have been purchasing Urban Barn furniture for years, and have recently have had bad experiences at this location. In the past, the staff has been very friendly and happy to help, recently it seems that the store was put under new management which has been a VERY unpleasant experience. The staff is unwelcoming and dismissive, they don't offer help unless asked and know little about company policies. A few weeks ago we purchased a desk from the Coquitlam Centre store. Upon picking up the product, we noticed it was very damaged. We called the store and they insisted they could do nothing to help us, so we contacted customer care (which was extremely unhelpful.) They eventually took back the damaged desk and sent us a new one, however this one was also damaged! The desk is now on backorder until November. We called the store questioning how refunds would work or how we could place another order; however they dismissed us and told us to contact customer care, but customer care told us to contact the store (which makes absolutely NO sense!) As we tried to figure out this issue, we called the South Granville location and talked to a very kind and helpful employee who is now assisting us with our refund (which customer care failed to help us with.) I understand that store employees can't help with everything, however the employees at this location seem to know the BARE MINIMUM regarding company policies and customer service. our refund still has still not been discussed, despite a worker from customer care saying they would reach out today (which did not happen, there has been no contact.) Shop at the South Granville Location, the staff is more helpful and selection is better. Urban Barn should seriously re evaluate who they hire at the Coquitlam centre location because they've lost us as a customer.

I love Urban Barn. Very chic and classy items. It is something for everybody's taste. The staff is excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to please. They give you solutions when you are stuck. I highly recommend the service they have: Virtual design studio. Kim Guimond's advice on rearranging my living room, made me fall in love with my home.Thank you so much everyone.Respect and loveAdriana

My wife and I visited the store for accent items for my business. Unfortunately, we were not greeted or assisted by anyone upon our arrival. To make matters worse, the individual who appeared to be the manager or supervisor was extremely rude towards us. My wife is an employee and used her employee card to make the payment, which I completed. However, the manager/supervisor proceeded to lecture us (in an impolite tone) about the store policy that requires the payment card to belong to the employee using the employee card. While I understand the need for policies, I felt disrespected by the manager/supervisor's approach and would have appreciated being informed beforehand. It seemed as though she simply wanted to assert her authority and accused us of buying the item for someone else. I have visited other Urban Barn outlets in Port Coquitlam, Langley, and South Surrey, and found them to be much friendlier and less judgmental. My advice to anyone visiting this specific location would be to manage their expectations or simply visit another store. I do not intend to return to this location as I cannot tolerate disrespectful and judgmental people.

Staff did not approach me to see if they could help me. When I approached a staff person regarding an item I had ordered online and the same item I had on hold at the store, she did not seem interested in helping me, or to explain the situation and definitely not friendly. I did not have a complaint, just a query. When I did make a purchase another sales clerk was friendly.

My sofa bed order was put in with errors x 2. The initial employee who put in order was indifferent and not really listening. Manager contacted me twice due to system error. Hopeful couch comes on time and without issues but my confidence is not high

The Manager and staff are very nice and helpful,, the helped us change our sofa,, as the first one was not what we wanted,, but they went above and beyond to help us,, so thank you,, we have used Urban barn for years,, both in Kelowna and Coquitlam,, always received excellent service, but the Coquitlam store Bravo, bravo The best of the best
