“My husband has a progressive disability. Although we live in Maple Ridge, I travel to Port Coquitlam to deal directly with Hal anytime my husband needs new equipment or prior approval by our insurance company. He is so knowledgeable and has a great deal of empathy for the people he is serving.
My husband began many years ago with a walker, then a mobility scooter, and recently Hal helped him obtain an electric wheelchair to move around in our new, smaller living quarters. But I was especially pleased how Hal was able to find the right chair to accommodate my husband’s multiple disabilities, and get approval from our insurance company faster than any other companies we have dealt with.
So far Hal has helped us purchase a replacement hospital bed, a much safer shower chair, and an electric wheelchair for my husband. He took the time to ensure all the equipment was the best choice for him. Our previous experiences with other local companies have been that they have the order written up and quotes sent to the insurance company before a final decision has been made.
After many years dealing with various Medical Equipment companies and their technicians, I find I can trust Tri-City Home Medical Equipment’s superb tech, Eric. We had him come and dismantle and move my husband’s electric medical bed to our new apartment. A previous move and the resulting damage to an older bed made us realize how important it is to have a knowledgeable tech like Eric handle complicated and expensive equipment. And even though it was in the middle of a rain storm, and the elevator broke down, Eric managed to get it all done and set up so my husband could be comfortable before the movers came with the rest of our household. Eric has many clients in Maple Ridge, so I know we will not have to wait long for his help with an urgent technical problem. Today he is delivering two new batteries for the scooter along with a new armrest.
Lastly, as a child of parents who ran a family business, I respect how Hal is following in his father’s footsteps. His dad must have been a very special man, because Hal certainly knows how to take care of his customers.”
