Unfortunately I can no longer say that Korna is the best pet store in Lower Mainland. I have been extremely loyal over the past 7 years or so, and was very understanding of their decline in service through the pandemic... it was understandably a tough time. Sadly, the service remains lack lustre at best in 2024. Given that my original review was a glowing five stars, I felt I had to update it due to an ongoing disappointment in basic service.My once dedicated brand loyalty has been declining over the past year or so, but at this point I can no longer see myself making the trip to Coquitlam Korna. No points program is good enough IMO.

I like visiting Korna Pet to purchase organic and quality products for my kittens. Easy access parking, friendly staff and a great selection. In Coquitlam.

I visited this store yesterday and had the friendliest cashier who was so helpful. They have a great selection here as well as adorable pet themed gifts for humans! Not a massive store like others (I like the non warehouse feel anyways). Definitely worth a visit.

A little high end for my budget but they have a great selection of quality food including raw.I bought a driftwood cat post a few years ago and not only has it saved my door frames, it has lasted very well and has lots of life left.Staff are usually nice and helpful but not pushy.They have some super cute toys if you have a dog that doesn't destroy everything!

My last two visits at the store have been very subpar due to the customer service provided. 2-3 months ago, I visited to buy a bag of wood pellet litter. I visited in the middle of the day around 2 or 3pm in the afternoon, and the store only had 1 other customer. The cashier was extremely slow despite the customer only having a couple items to ring up. I'm guessing they might have had trouble finding the customer's KORNA membership account. However, when I finally got up to the cash register with my heavy 40lb bag of wood pellets, the cashier was just very slow at doing everything: finding the barcode on the bag of wood pellets, scanning it, asking for payment, setting up the card machine to be ready for payment.Today, my partner and I visited the store again to buy another bag of wood pellets and some cat treats. The cashier today was also very slow and did not even greet us or smile when we walked up to the counter. I said hello to him first and he did not respond. He kept his head down and started scanning everything. He asked us if we had a KORNA membership account to collect points and we do not, so he got us to sign up. However he was sooo slow and the sign up process required so many questions. It took him over 5 minutes to sign us up for an account. He also spoke very quietly so we had to ask him to repeat himself several times. What should have been a simple sign up process, ended up being extremely painful, frustrating and embarrassing as a long line up began to build up behind us (despite it being not our fault). The rest of the staff did not open up the second cash register when a line was forming behind us.I would rather go to PetSmart or Bosley's, as they always greet me with a smile when I walk in, and are knowledgable in their products while being quick, efficient and friendly.

My dog is afraid of people and other dogs, so I always carry a dog in my arms. But when I was concentrating on seeing the contents of the item, a rude employee suddenly reached in and touched my dog and tried to feed him some unknown crumbs. I was so surprised and angry that I left, but I kept following and tried to touch it. To my surprise, this happened repeatedly every time the employee was there and now I was able to enter the store only after confirming that the employee was not there.

I recently purchased a pack of wood pellets, and upon opening the bag, I discovered the pellets had turned into sawdust, likely due to improper storage in a damp place.

Love this place, it's a little pricey but it feels good to buy there. They treat my animals with tons of love and are very helpful and accommodating whenever possible

The staff was not helpful. I asked if they could help me getting some food that was stuck in its bin. The person acknowledged me and that was it. I had to grab the heavy bin from the top shelf and do it myself. I complained when I went to pay for the food about letting me waiting for 10 min without any help and they did not care. There were 2 people in the cashier and nobody to help clients inside the store. Just not acceptable. First time I get this bad service in this store. I hope this is not the case moving foward. This happened on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2pm

We are so happy with all of our experience with this store. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I love that it is family owned and operated. Our cat loves her new cave! Twice, we have ended up going here just because of their better hours, when other stores were closed when were were on our way home and just wanted to grab something, and both of those times we ended up buying fun things that both we are our pets are so happy with.

Man I don’t know why I went back and got treats. Long time ago my dog had a crazy stomach infection from the raw foods from this store then i bought treats and she got sick again. Puked over 10 times!
