I bought a shelving unit that is missing parts. I called three times to the 1.800 number and they said Coquitlam will phone me and send the parts. I waited two week between calling back and haven't seen the parts or heard from anyone. I asked for the local Coquitlam phone number and they refused to give it. I guess I'll need to make the 4 hour trip to get it myself, but if that's the case, I'll be returning the whole unit.

We loved going to ikea but then something happened and we stopped going. They ended breakfast there and they're food was really good. I don't know
why they stopped. We really liked it and a lot of people came. Anyway, good place. Cafe, cafeteria, shopping and play place. Great place.

Giving attitude what a shame there 90 day return policy is not that good they should make it 1 year when I ordered 1 kids cone they said “You should have did it before you got it” or something I would not even rate it is so bad I’m not coming here again.

The Staff are super friendly and happy to help.
4 stars because we're coming from Vancouver Island and this place was PACKED. Never seen an IKEA full of people like this other than in Vancouver. If you're not a people person, are sensitive or neurodivergent like myself, or simply want to make your trip easy with full of flow:
✨ Bring your own IKEA bag so you don't pay for a new one :)
✨ plan to be in there for 20 minutes tops
✨ Know what you want before you go
✨ Go straight to the marketplace
✨ Don't come hungry unless you plan on eating at the Swedish Restaurant (the line ups are GIGANTIC)
✨ Take photos of products that can be found in the furniture warehouse
✨ Don't forget to check the discounts section in the warehouse!

I previously went to IKEA in Richmond. The cafeteria was great. Not impressed at cafeteria here in Coquitlam. Nice people but the salad bar wasn't good. See pics.
In Richmond the metal squares have cherry tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, so i can make the salad the way I like it.
But here in coquitlam, it was all just mixed together and unappealing. Looked very "picked over".
The cafeteria manager from Richmond needs to come to Coquitlam and give a salad bar lesson.
Other than salad bar it was great, and no complaints about IKEA.

The return manager at this store was very rude and refused to give me a refund over a known recall of a product that has actually resulted in the death of children. She implied that the IKEA customer service person that I talked to on the phone earlier is ‘probably working in a basement in Saskatchewan’ which is why they said I could get a refund in store. Never shopping here again.
