I dropped by here yesterday (Oct. 28, 2024) to get my car oil changed and I was really happy as soon as I park on the bay. The crew was very honest and hospitable and they didn’t pitched me for any up sale tactics. Very on point! They checked my tire pressures, air filters, etc and they were efficient. Done in just 5 minutes.. Will recommend this shop

I came here probably 4 times now with 2 different cars. Pretty cool to ask for an oil change and your oil is changed and you drive away. Reasonable pricing in the economic climates these days. Fast service. They topped up my windshield washer fluids. Sagar was a nice guy to chat with. I’ll keep coming back for oil changes and fluid flushes.

Awesome experience with an oil change Friday October 14 at 3:15.
They were so helpful and kind, they checked my tire pressure, air filters and were great to work with, plus great value pricing for their great service! Thanks guys!
They also checked my break lights, which didn't work and replaced them for just $22 each. Nice.

Hello Manager of this shop,
I was there today Oct 14th 2024 at 210pm, I told employee#1, I am here for a transmission fluid Level check. As I had transmission fluid changed last week at a Great Canadian Oil shop in Abbotsford. The abbotsford shop stated you can go to any same shop doesn't matter city as long as a Great Canadian oil change shop, within 2 days to a week get your levels checked.
This employee told me to open hood, so I did. Then another employee#2(indian with mustache, black hair, brown skin... I don't know his name) - came to first employee who i can see chatting with him through my hood, told him "no service."
This employee#2 said to me "oh we don't do that here." When I asked why, he said "we don't have this certain tip of dip stick for your 2017 nissan transmission, so ya can't help you." I was confused, because this is a common thing to be checked at a shop, and good thing I listened to my intuition to question this.
I told employee#2 ok please wait I'll call the same abbotsford shop and u can talk to them. Abbotsford shop employee was confused ehy it cant be done and asked to speak to this employee#2, after speaking to this employee, phone handed back to me. The abbotsford shop employee laughed and said it's very odd what he is saying, either he doesn't know how to do a simple transmission Level check or doesn't want to."
This employee#2 just left me at my spot after phone call and started working on next car. I go to the other great canadian oil shop for many years, and just how they guide you with their hands to inside shop with ur tires properly aligned, they help u out the same.
So I asked the same employee if he can help guide me out like they normally do so my tires don't hit anything leaving, he laughed and said "oh no we don't do that here" and walked off.
Side note: I called this same shop at 10 11 am this morning, and asked them how long they are open to today and said will be coming in to do a fluid Level check for my transmission and they said okay no problem. .....but then, there was a problem?
So Manager of this coquitlam shop, if you could please respond as I would like to chat about your employee's unprofessionalism.

I used to deal with minute Lube and the lineups were long will take you you almost an hour to get an oil change, because you're fast and never have to wait service within 10 minutes I'm going to go to guys from now on

I am deeply disappointed with the recent experience my wife had at Great Canadian Oil Change. We were charged $167 CAD for a synthetic oil change for a 4-quart engine, which is outrageous considering my truck, at another branch of the same company, cost $140 CAD for the same service. There is absolutely no justification for this inconsistency, and it feels like a blatant attempt to overcharge customers based on location or other arbitrary factors.
On top of the overcharge, I discovered that the company has an automatic opt-in information dissemination policy embedded in their contract, which was never communicated to us at the time of service. This is not only unethical but also a direct violation of PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). Customers have a right to know how their personal information is being used and should be given the option to consent—this was never discussed.
This lack of transparency and respect for customer privacy is unacceptable. I will not be returning to GCOC and will strongly advise others to avoid this company unless they address their shady pricing tactics and unethical data practices.

Changed my car oil there once. The service was much faster than other places and the oil lasted more meaning they did the job well with good quality oil. I will go there again and update here if needed. I recommend this place.
