Save-On-Foods (both Sardis & Garrison locations) is tarnishing its reputation by importing poor-quality peanuts. This week, a product called "Tiger - Roasted Peanuts in Shell, Unsalted, 800 Gram" did not indicate the country of origin and contained between one-third to nearly half bad-quality peanuts. It was clear that three types of peanuts were mixed in:
First, over-roasted peanuts that are dark brown with intact skins and kernels (possibly shriveled), emitting a strong rancid oil smell, making them inedible. Second, peanuts similar to the first, but with partially broken skins and kernels (possibly showing signs of insect holes). Third, lighter-colored peanuts with normal skins and kernels, which are the only ones with the expected, normal taste.
Shelled peanuts are already prone to the potential growth of aflatoxins if stored improperly, which can severely damage liver function, not to mention such visibly harmful low-quality products. I believe this instance is just an oversight, as most of my experiences with Save-On-Foods have been positive. I recommend that Save-On-Foods immediately review and potentially recall this product to protect consumers' health.

Solid grocery store. Meets the expected plentiful free parking, very clean, lots of products and deals. Fun side stuff includes price-match competitors (and staff know how to do it), at least one veteran's parking stall, recycles unwanted reusable bags and sells reusable produce bags and reusable insulated bags.
Self checkout is fast usually a few seconds wait. Need a physical More Rewards card though for points.

Save-On-Foods Garrison Location
The produce is excellent! Better than any store I’ve seen.
I won’t buy produce anywhere else . You just can’t beat the produce dept. at Garrison.
Felix works hard to keep everything looking great & extremely fresh. Felix is the best!

Let’s face it, Save-on sucks. The most expensive major grocery chain.

Just your regular Save-on just 10 minutes drive from the Cultus Lake recreation area. Situated in a nice neighborhood (Garrison village). Your best bet for shopping at Cultus lake. Shops there have a very limited choice and overpriced for tourists.

Store is good but bakery is awful compared to other Save On Foods, it's just strange that cakes are so different in quality and taste.

Hard working and dedicated staff.
Overpriced even when you compare to Loblaws stores. Not recommended.
