I had a great experience at Al's. Most ICBC rated places won't even look at your vehicle if it's not insurance related but Al was happy to help. Did an awesome job on my truck in a reasonable amount of time and got a great deal on it as well. These Old School body guys are getting harder and harder to find, I'm glad someone like Al Parker's is still around to actually offer service instead of just gouging and taking advantage like the big collision places.

If I could give less than one star I would. Unfortunately there was extremely poor communication with the business owner and his receptionist. My vehicle was supposed to be a ten day turn around for some rust work. There kept being delays and told he would get to it. Anytime I needed an update I had to call. At day 31 I called and was told he would try and get to finishing it the weekend and that he needed to weld something on and just paint it and to call back the following week. I had a gut feeling and ended up having to show up to my vehicle parked in the back… completely untouched without a single ounce of work done on it. 32 days of my vehicle sitting there in the yard!!! Simple communication or a heads up he was too busy to take on my vehicle would have been great I would have picked up my truck and taken it home.

I brought in a Honda civic to be repaired and was told that the front control arms were replaced. They were on the bill and I paid for them as well wheel alignment afterwards.After having trouble with car still took to another reputable mechanic and was SHOWN that the control arms were NOT replaced.I’ve tried contacting Al by phone several times and he pushes it to the next day, says someone will call and then no one ever does.I’m so disappointed. We could barely afford to have our old car fixed and then for this to happen it’s so upsetting. The least he could do is offer to refund the money he took for a service that was never done.Services: Steering & suspension replacement

I was not and still months later am not impressed with the work Al and his team did on my car. I had an accident and took my car to him after a recommendation. I was told from the very beginning by the time they were done working on my car it would be safe and perfectly drivable. Months of waiting only to be given a car back with panels replaced. My headlight was damaged in the accident and so were the fender liners. The fender liners were not replaced leaving the car internals exposed to everything on the road and the bulbs in the head light had not been replaced leaving me with no turn signal. Not very safe. I brought it back and was told by Al it would be made right. Once he returned my car back to me again with the turn signal fixed the fender liners still hadn’t been replaced despite them having them on hand… more waiting… after almost half a year they say the car is done. This winter the fender liners that had been replaced have both fallen out while I’ve been driving. Oh yeah and he didn’t bother to replace my day time running bulb either. He actually tried to send me to wrecker to go get the wiring harness for the headlight myself.It’s really unfortunate that this is how I was treated at Als especially with there rave reviews. I expected good work.. I understand they have bigger projects but when you say you are going to do something right that’s how it should be done the very first time. I want to return to have them make it right but I will not put myself through that headache again. Moral of the story is if you need body work done don’t bother with Al. If you need something painted go to his painter. The only positive thing from this whole experience was the beautiful paint work on the panels I had replaced.

The guy is amazing of what he can do with a vehicle. He put on visors for my wife's Toyota ATV which are straight and sturdy. Can ask for anything better. It's no wonder that he has to book you for an appointment because he's in the demand and he's been at it for over 35 years

Al Parker Autobody has done many jobs for me over the years. Always professional and friendly service and outstanding workmanship. These are "car guys" who work on yours as if it was there own. Highly recommended shop.
