The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. However, there are NEVER enough tellers and always have to wait way too long!! They also need to move clients along faster when there is a line up. If individuals have financial matters that take more than 5 mins, they need to tell to make an appointment instead.

walked in without and appointment to open an account and they were able to find Kito who was available. overall, was happy with the service he provided. however, reading the paperwork before signing, i was asked to acknowledge that i received a copy of their privacy terms and some other info. Kito said they don’t provide booklets of that info anymore, and that it is available online. so i will ask Vancity to change that wording since i DID NOT RECEIVE A COPY.also, 0 lines at the time i went which was a monday at 1pm.

I wanted to open a savings account because my other Smelly bank(Simplii) is online and doesn't have a physical bank. I went today to Vancity to open an account and said that I needed an appointment. I have a friend who worked at almost all banks and some credit unions. He is a mortgage manager. He told me that except for managers not many people earn much money in the banks, but we have to wear suits with ties, clean shoes and shirts, and a lot of oil we have to use for the managers, clients, and others to keep the jobs and mostly not many brainy people work there. He gave me many exams for promotion and pass the courses for different things and came to me for solving math problems. I was an engineer and I don't need even calculators or software to find simple solutions, but they use formulas and software to calculate something, then have checked by others that the results are ok or not. I used to have accounts in big banks, but due to the monthly charges, I closed all the accounts there when they start to charge. I have a regular checking account to pay my credit cards and apt rent etc. Last 10 years probably did not go the branch(coast capital branch in Metrotown Mall. Do everything online.

Great Big Beautiful Branch. Credit Unions are the way of the future, and everyone should be a part of one. Definitely better than the Big Banks who invest heavily into dirty fossil fuels…and not to mention the excessive feeeeeesss. Lol.

Worst service ever for Business. No need for the stupid line. Just go into personal. Also if they have someone closing acct....make them get an appointment with someone in office.. Not a teller. If your here for business...best to go line up in personal line up.

Alison helped me, she was super friendly, and kind! Happy to see we had options for other language speakers :) Hope I get to be helped by her again on my next visit. Got my stuff sorted out and even the phone support gave detailed instructions on what I needed todo.This location gets busy during periods. And wait time can be long.

We've received consistently excellent customer service here, especially when we were navigating challenging financial situations. They can do things that the Vancity phone service can't do, and they give better advice, too.

Coin counting machine is closed due to Covid. Tellers are only accepting rolled coins and will give out free paper rolls.
