Don't buy from here. Staff is useless. If you have an issue and try to return or exchange per the policy you are told to come back on a Sunday when some manager is there. Never have I gone to a business for a return and told to come back days later. Better places around for dog food that don't give you the dick around if you have issues with the purchase.

I bought a bag of cat food that was on sell during my very first visit. I asked one of the employee what's the return policies and I was told that 1) a refund can be made as long as the bag of cat food is unopen and within 30 days 2) could only do a exchange if the bag is opened and at least half bag left. I came back 3 weeks after to do a return/refund for this unopened bag of cat food and I was told about completely different return policies. Luckily I was able to make a refund after explaining to the cashier about the refund policies that I was told during my first visit. At the end of the day, I'll stick with my usual pet food store which is just a 10 minute drive with better/friendly return policies.

Even if I’m the first one in the store the lady helping me leaves to go help people that came in after me and says it’ll be quick but one time I had to wait like 30 minutes and i just left. Everytime I go there and that lady is there it happens And shes also very rude

Best customer service I’ve received in a long time! Went in on Thursday evening looking for flea medication for my cat but didn’t know his weight - either above 4kg or below. After receiving some good advice and what felt like true, genuine care for an animal this person had never and will never meet, we settled on the above 4kg dose. Then he threw in some wet cat food samples and told me to go home, weigh my cat and if he was less than 4kg, don’t open the box and come back for an exchange. Lovely person and told me to join the points club with my next purchase but to keep this receipt so it can count. (Spoiler alert: cat weighed in at 13lbs… my furry dude is going on a diet!!)

Where I buy my cat food and litter. And sometimes toys or treats. Great selection of healthy options. Very friendly staff who share a lot of knowledge when asked, and provide great customer service.

The staff here are so wonderful, they're practically my friends at this point because I keep going back purely because of their customer service. They helped me find a food my allergy cat can eat as she was going on hunger strike from the vet food. My cat is limited to a fish diet and she also can't have whitefish nor salmon. Well, this was not a problem! They showed me foods she can eat and kept ordering in new flavours (feels like special just for me, lol). It's a small store but it has everything I need and it's right next to a vet. There is ALWAYS fresh cat grass, even grass shoots if you ask. Pets are welcome--I'd even say encouraged haha!The toys rotate which is super nice to have fresh, new toys for kitty's mental health. They also have the good harnesses (RC pets brand) that are hard for cats to escape from, just perfect! And actual Churu brand churus, not the delectibles or squeeze up's, but the actual good stuff, and in multiple flavours AND hairball control!And the tunes are great, too :DPS, Beddy says, "more treats, meow!"

hello.
I visited the store today to buy food, and as soon as I entered the entrance, the small dog (small dog) bit my dog (medium-large dog). (The owner didn't seem to see his dog because he was standing at the checkout counter.) I thought the dog was coming to say hello, so I stayed still, but it tried to bite me and I almost got bitten.
My dog was also surprised by the situation and growled at the smaller dog.
Only then did everyone look at us.
I almost got bitten, so I looked at my dog's condition, apologized to the small dog owner, and ended things with the small dog owner.
But the employees
When the owner of a small dog pays the bill, we provide them with snack samples and various other things to happily finish the bill.
When I paid the bill, of course he was kind and gave my dog a treat, but my dog growled at the other dog, so he told me that I should greet him better and not give him any more (I don't speak English, so I couldn't hear the details), but where should I go at that time? I didn't notice it because I was busy, but as time passed, I kept thinking about it.
I feel very uncomfortable that you are talking about my dog as an incompatible dog without knowing much about the situation.
The staff may just say something, but from my perspective, it was my dog that was almost attacked, and it was my dog that got scolded, so I'm leaving a review because I thought I should tell you the details of the situation.
I always liked the store because the employees were friendly and my dog liked going there, but it's a shame.

Chang of review as there’s a Change of Ownership !!
I was sad that the past owners are gone and I’m disappointed in the new management. we visited twice since its change and the person at the counter downright ignored us when we wanted to pay for our goods and just walked away ?. So rude when we were asking her a question and left us standing there mind boggled why she just left and no one’s there for us to make payment. No friendly greeting like the previous owners where they would welcome us and interact with our dog for a sample treat. We have literally been coming here pretty much every weekend to buy food / treats and etc for 3 years + ever since we moved to this area.
There are so many loyal customers who come to this store to support local businesses including our neighbour alone. We spoil our dogs and have been to many many pet supplies stores, and never been to one where the employees or the owners don’t engage. Or care about the membership as it would show how often one comes by to spend. Like the other reviewer pricing has increased, comparable to Yaletown boutique shops like Bones Pets where we used to live. This is understandable being a small business but at least even at Bones employees are friendly and informative about products and dogs in general.
