I have been coming here week after week for the past month trying to get information on their hair tools as I want to make an educated purchase instead of just guessing if the product will be right for me. When I ask staff members, they NEVER know, and just read the box or Google the item on their phone – um, I can do that myself. I walk in today and ask AGAIN, and am told they are too busy to answer questions because of a sale. What about the past 3 weeks? I would like to purchase during this sale, but I need to know what I am buying and they still cannot tell me any info their hair tools. I expressed my concerns about the lack of staff knowledge to Niko, and his response was just "Mmmhmmm.... Mmmhmmm." Didn't seem like he really cared. The kicker is I asked for the card/contact info of the Sephora regional manager and his response was, "I don't know, I can only give you the information of the customer service line." Does anyone know ANYTHING in this store?? This is terrible representation for brands like Mane, BondiBoost and Dyson as it seems like the Sephora staff has no desire to sell these products.
EDIT: The copy-paste-reply just proves my point. The staff just follows a script, and if you ask a question that hasn't been supplied to them, they give you a generic answer or an "I don't know."

Thank you to Oman/Omana (not sure if I spelled her name correctly, my apologies) from the perfume section for helping my friend and I find a birthday gift yesterday (November 2nd around 5pm)!! She helped us find exactly what we were looking for and offered amazing service. Thank you!!!

I recently moved to burnaby from Richmond and came to this Sephora…I’m sorry but the staff were unhelpful and I ended up just finding what I needed myself because they simply didn’t know what they were doing. I asked for travel shampoo and conditioner sets and the associate didn’t know where they were. Then, when I was at the check out counter, I asked if there were birthday deals (since I came on my birthday) and the associate (a different one) didn’t offer anything….I had to actually ask her if Sephora still gave points on a member’s birthday. Then I asked her if I could please redeem the 500 points I already had on my account. I’m sorry but shouldn’t an associate know how to ask these things? Is this not part of training? This is VERY different from Richmond’s Sephora. I’m disappointed and won’t be coming back. I hope whoever is in charge can re-train the staff here because the service really is lacking.

An older lady wearing all black which I couldn't understand a word she was saying, she didn't know anything about this product. She was supposed to be someone that knew the products. She just made stuff up and couldn't even read the description of the product. But she was confident as hell. Totally put me off.

Hardly any cosmetic testers available. Useless staff. You're better off purchasing online, and if the color doesn’t work, just return it—because without testers, it’s impossible to know what you’re getting.

Not recommended, especially the Persian girl she’s the worst advisor ever! I clearly told her my budget, but she went above it, and I only noticed when I looked at the receipt. I guess they work on commission, which explains it. Definitely not coming back.

Accused my mom of stealing, refused to apologize when proven wrong. She went in to purchase perfume and was accused by staff of putting products in her bag. She wouldn’t steal a pack of gum let alone perfume… she offered up her bag to be searched and showed she didn’t take anything. They left her alone but never apologized. Nothing like being falsely accused of stealing on Thanksgiving to really bring the family together. Idiots.
