I came to the store over a year ago to ask for advice about resizing my engagement ring.During my second pregnancy, I forgot to remove my engagement and wedding rings from my finger. My finger swelled up and my husband had to cut off my rings because they were cutting off the circulation to my hand. I was devastated, stressed, and very hormonal.After the birth of my son, I went to a different jeweler in the states to repair my rings. Unfortunately I chose to make the rings too big and the engagement ring kept spinning because it was too top-heavy.Later after my weight and hormones had stabilized, I returned to metropoli and one of the staff advised me to size down my ring instead of adding sizing beads to it. It took a bit over a week and was over $50.Good experience and very pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend.

Brought in a couple of rings to get resized smaller and it turned out beyond my expectations. The rings came back looking super clean and shiny too. They are very friendly and knowledgable about what they're doing. I brought in a snake ring that kept snagging on things and bending out of shape, so they recommended me to get a couple areas soldered together so it wont move and keep its shape. Which I recommend doing , I have no problems with it catching on things anymore. The first time I got it sized I had asked them to size it a little smaller then I should have but they had no problems adjusting the size to make it bigger for me. When I came in to have it readjusted they even did it right on the spot . They have really great service, such friendly people, and give great advice. I highly recommend going here.

Avoid this place for jewelry resizing.Came to get a ring of sentimental value resized, they said it would take 2 weeks (which we were okay with). I call the day before the pick up date to confirm if the ring was ready, and they confirmed that it will be ready for the pick up date.The day I was suppose to pick the ring up, I called again to confirm if I can come by and they said it was not ready and made us wait an hour to pick it up, we get to the store and waited another 20 mins while they worked on the ring.We had to come back the next day to have the ring fixed again as the ring was not done correctly, it was lop sided and the width of the ring was uneven. They offered to fix the ring and ended up cracking the ring and breaking it.Would not advise bringing your jewelry here.

I went to Metropoli because the chain on my necklace has broken and my mother’s funeral service was the next day. I really wanted to wear that necklace. They understood and were able to make the repair within a half hour. They did a beautiful job and they were lovely.

My fiancé and I were on the hunt for a local jeweller who could size down my ring and clean it up. It’s a family piece that I was surprised with recently and was beyond petrified of having something bad happen to it by taking it to the “wrong” shop. I read some reviews for this shop and decided to make a choice. We were relieved after speaking with the owner because it was clear that she shared the same values we had in preserving the uniqueness of the ring and honouring its history. Not only did it come back looking more beautiful than before, but the job was also completed earlier than scheduled. I’m thrilled with our experience, from the delightful chats about being recently engaged, to the delivery of a promise to bring new life into the piece. Thank you so very much from both of us!

I was looking for a place to resize my engagement ring, and this shop was close by. Little did I know, I’d also be getting my wedding band custom made here, as well! When I first walked in, I was warmly greeted by Val and her mom. They were with another customer, so I decided to have a look around their display cases. I saw a ring with a design similar to what I wanted for my wedding band. I wasn’t planning on having my wedding band made at the time, but the ring that was on display was so beautifully made, I knew I wanted my ring to be made here. Val was super patient with me, as I was very nit-picky. I had a very specific idea in mind and she worked really closely with me to ensure I got what I wanted and was happy. It turned out amazing and looks so good with my engagement ring. The design itself is very intricate, and Val did an excellent, high-quality job with each little detail. Everyone at the store is so friendly and lovely to chat with. Val’s resize of my ring was also done very well. I don’t even see where the work was done. I’m so happy I was able to Metropoli and would absolutely recommend to all.

I came here to have a necklace fixed. The employees are very kind and easy to talk to. I left my necklace and called and arranged a date to pick it up. Was done exactly when they said it would be. Was also incredibly affordable. & they shined one of my rings for free upon pick up. I will definetly return for any other jewellery repair or custom needs. Highly recommend.

WORST JEWELRY REPAIR EVER!!Please do not come here, they will try to charge you twice for a job that in the first place was not done right. Said they will fix it and when i came back to pick up my chain the young lady that works there was SUPER RUDE, mistreated me calling me names, little did she know I’m currently going through pregnancy and treating a pregnant lady like this? Terrible customer service ! Being really persistent I had to pay double the price I agreed on, not honest people at all.

Terrific service and quality work. I needed a last minute fix to a damaged gold chain before my holiday and they rushed it for me within 24 hrs for a minimal extra charge . Fast, efficient and very friendly too!

I am very happy with their customer service! It's a family owned business and I love supporting local shops :)I just got my wedding ring sized. I gained a little bit of weight during COVID and need my wedding ring sized up. He sized it within a week. The ring fit perfectly and cleaned it very nicely. All my scratches are gone! :) You deal directly with the goldsmith which is always nice. He was super knowledgeable. Will be back for more repairs.
