One of my biggest financial regrets is that we didn't leave this firm when the former partner retired. We knew that first year that we weren't happy but it seemed like it was 'good enough' and changing tax firms is a pain.Then my husband died, and every single thing with our taxes was difficult, or downright wrong. When I'd point out that something hadn't been done or hadn't been communicated, the partner would get nasty.Sadly it made sense to have them handle the return for my husband's final tax year but I am now blissfully free of Kemp Harvey and will never go back. Just going into 2023 knowing I don't need to deal with them is a relief.

I guess they don't accept new customers! Called a couple times, left a voice message and called again and spoke to someone requesting to make an appointment/ general information to how I can use they services to file my personal taxes. But got absolutely 0 information or even a call back. ?♂️

I appreciate the professionalism at this firm. However, my experience working with the team included:- being talked down to;- not asked relevant questions (e.g. assumptions were made without consulting me); and- providing CRA information without my consent or even followup.Generally, I believe the firm has strong technical capacity and knowledge, but poor communication. If you are doing business here, make sure you clearly state what your expectations are and be ready to do the work to make communication happen effectively.
