I went to the Garden Works in Coquitlam on June 4th around 330pm (did not catch lady's name unfortunately)to see if someone could give me advice on how to properly replant an orchid that had belonged to my late Mom. I thought to purchase the proper soil but the lady (working in the flower arranging section of store) simply took the orchid, tidied the poor roots and preceeded to repot it, all at no charge. I thanked her and She said, "it was your Mom's" Such a kind gesture. Made my day. Glad know there are still thoughtful people around.

This review is long over due…in February I was looking to replace a larger plant…this location always has a huge selection of premium, healthy plants…I had an idea of what I was looking for…however as I entered…Mohson was pushing a large cart but stopped to let me know he was around if I needed help…he was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional…I left with exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Mohson!!! I then had the pleasure of making my purchase through Martin( the receipt showed this name)…I’ve met him a few times… he too is an asset for this business…he is always pleasant, thorough and quick…this location is consistent when it comes to quality, selection and knowledgeable staff!

It's a beautiful store with a lot more plant varieties than expected! I had a lot of fun looking around.As a first time gardener I ended up asking Simon a lot of questions in the Plant Health/Fertilizer section of the store. He was super patient and went above and beyond trying to help me while I was unsure about a weird issue I had with one of my bell pepper plants. He also helped me with questions about my seedlings and strawberry plants and recommended a few products to help get them back up to snuff.Here's hoping my poor strawberry plants fare better after a container upgrade and separation. :)

Found some well-priced and good-looking plants here. However, if you are paying with cash, count at least twice with the cashier. 10 bucks is not a big deal for an adult, but a kid was upset after he realized that he was charged 10 bucks more when he spent all his saved 30 bucks to buy his mom a gift for the Mother's Day.

Lots of options here and the staff is helpful. A worker came while we were looking at carnivorous plants to see if we were doing okay and he probably told us there were two colour options because they weren't very obvious yet which we hadn't noticed so that was good to know! We were able to find everything we came for in terms of plant supplies ?

Wonderful garden center with a wide variety of well nurtured plants. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who take the time to answer your questions. Lisa and Stuart were awesome in assisting me to find exactly what I needed and in giving me a hand in taking everything to the parking lot. Old school customer service!

Staff was so helpful. Searched high and low- just dropped what they were doing to help me find a product. Loved the variety of plants and indoor decor . A true zen time away from city life.
