Went to fit first and bought few pair of shoes , Tomas and his entire crew helped to get the best stuff , this is my second visit , very fair prices , incredible customer service , cool place cool staff , will come back with my kids to buy running shoes

What a gem! I needed to get some proper shoes for an upcoming walking trip in the Cotswolds in the UK and had no idea where to start or what to look for. I'd already tried to DIY research a pair of trail shoes and after a year of trying to break them in, only ended up with a pair that gave me blisters every time I wore them.
I came to Fit First Footwear, was helped by a fantastic gentleman (I've forgotten his name, but he's tall and slim and dark haired) who knew his stuff inside and out. He set me up with a pair that felt like I'd owned them forever. Perfect fit, perfectly suited for purpose, and I'm delighted.
Highly, highly recommend!

My daughter has sesamoiditis and CRPS in her foot so finding the right shoes is very challenging. Bridget helped us find the perfect pair today. Thank you Bridget! You’re customer service was extraordinary!!

My podiatrist gave me a recommendation for Fit First. Got some Mach 6's, and ran my first pain-free 10km in the searing heat today. Was great having heat as the limiting factor and not my shins! Thanks for the great service, Nathan!

I recently took part in the FFRC Tuesday Night Track sessions with Tomas & Charlie.
While there is no individual feedback or recommendations based on performance, I highly recommend joining their sessions for a great workout and a fantastic atmosphere. The program was only 8 weeks but I left with knowledge & skills that I can use independently during future training sessions.

From their run clinics and track workouts, to getting outfitted with runners, accessories or apparel, the team at Fit First know what they’re doing. The knowledgeable staff take time to listen to your needs and suggest gear specific to your needs.
The community that Evan and Phil have created is none other- I have never seen another community quite like this one. Everyone supports and encourages one another no matter what stage each runner is at. I’m happy to continue supporting this local business that gives back so much more to the community at large.

I love the amazing FitFirst run clinics. Evan and his team have a philosophy of inclusivity and an incredible sense of community. They provide much needed encouragement to a slow runner such as myself. But there's also plenty of very fast run leaders for the fleet-footed! And everyone else in between! And the speed clinic with Coach Charlie and Coach Tomas is so much fun and so great for running improvement!
I feel guilty on long runs when a FitFirst leader stays by my side as I'm usually last by myself - I don't want to hog their attention. But I'm so happy to have someone to run with - it's abundantly clear that their companionship allows me to run much better than otherwise. I would have stopped many more times if I'd been by myself, and furthermore, the fact that I kept going sometimes gave me a second wind!
The store itself has a great selection of running shoes and my experience is that they do care about you, and not just out to make a sale. I certainly do not feel the pressure to buy that I have experienced in another running store after trying on a couple pair of shoes.
Kudos to Evan and his team and many thanks for what they do!

Fantastic people, great service, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. The crews at Fit First is a huge part of Burnaby's running community and contributes to the local running culture. Grateful to see them thrive over the small amount of time that I've been running as a hobby.

UPDATED: I joined the FFF Tuesday night track sessions. Tomas and Charlie were a fun coaching pair! They led us through exercises and drills that pushed us JUST enough! They were always available to answer questions.

Staff is SUPER helpful with choosing the right gear for the right fit.
I also had lots of fun joining their running clinic; it helped with consistency and community.

I’ve been running with Fit First for two years and love it. Evan and his Team are great leaders who provide encouragement, sense of community, and make running fun! I am so grateful to Charlie and Tomas who have provided us the opportunity to take advantage of the Track Tuesday sessions. A big thank you to Charlie and Tomas who have been amazing and offered two sets of Track Tuesday based on the great response. The tips and encouragement you provided made it easy to show up even when there was rain. I do look forward to the next Track Tuesdays with you two. Thank you!!

Great local running store. Love the opportunity to get out and run with other members of the community through grit firsts various running programs. Staff at the store are also helpful and friendly.

Evan & his team @ Fit First Footwear are awesome!!!
1). Saturday training runs, are very well organized, with great run leaders, to get interested registrants to you their desired training regimen, either for 10k, 1/2 Marathon, & Full Marathon, or walking, for run events, as the Birch Bay Run, Vancouver Sun Run, BMO Vancouver Marathon, & etc. The Run leaders are super, in that they are very "patient & no one gets left behind";
2). this year, 2024, they also offered Tuesday night strength interval training, via great trainers of Tomas & Charlie;
3). Evan & Fit First Footwear staff, show very hands on experience in all running footwear & etc.;
4). Evan @ Fit First is quite proactive in engaging in community events, as in Global Running Day, with other run organizations in Burnaby (North Burnaby Runners, Ice Cream & Donut Run Club, Arc'teryx Run Club, & etc), and donating used runners to the needy.
5). Evan promotes a super cohesiveness & camaraderie with the runners @ Fit First, with runners with different running experiences & skill sets, cheering each other on. Great running environment!
Kudos & my compliments to Evan & the team! They got it right!
