I've known Mike for nearly 30 years. The quality of his work and his honesty in dealings with customers are first rate! I've taken 5 different vehicles to Mike over the years and he has only done the work necessary, and at a lower shop rate than the dealerships, with no attempts to upsell on anything. The reason that there are wait times in some instances is that he is essentially a 1-mechanic show with a huge (and loyal!) customer base that are all clamoring for his services!

As others have said, Mike is not only a great and honest mechanic, he is also an amazing person.

Car was booked for an inspection with appointment. Mike had us wait outside in the rain for 45 minutes while he had casual conversations with other customers. Before the inspection, Mike grilled me on the details of where I had previous repair work done, accusing me that I was using a dealership to promote the sale of my car. Upon picking the car up it was evident the alternator was tampered with and had to go back for warranty. Beware with what you trust this mechanic with as it seem he can be very biased depending on the customer

Mike is seriously the most honest mechanic in Burnaby area. He is very passionate about his work and very thorough with the process whenever you get your car serviced with him.

Mike is honest and totally does his job with heart!! I pulled my car out from dealership to Mike after I was quoted 5000 to fix my airbags problem. Mike not only fixed the problems entirely with 1300 and explained thoroughly of all the parts he ordered, the manufactures, materials, how much and well they works compare to all other close options. My car is smooth like butter and I couldn’t thank Mike enough for his Amazing works!

I have been working with Mike, a mechanic, for 24 years.
Perhaps because he has good skills, he is always busy and someone you can trust.
This time, I suddenly requested repairs for my Grand Caravan, but even though they were fully booked, they took the time to check out the car. He works on cars until late at night, even after business hours. Great humanity!
It was very helpful that I didn't seem to have any problems driving until the day of my reservation. I can't wait to have him fix it!

Brought my car here after discovering some issues with it shortly after buying it from a used car dealer. I was looking at a potentially very expensive job that wasn’t covered by the warranty. A neighbor recommended Mike, saying they’ve been taking their car to him for many years, and I’m very glad I took them on their recommendation! Mike took the time to walk me through the work that needed to be done, explaining his reasoning and recommendations. I ended up spending considerably less on the repairs that I’d been quoted by the auto service shop that inspected my car. Very happy with the work Mike has done on the car and will be definitely coming here from now on. I’d give Edmonds Motors ten stars if I could. :)
